Beautiful cabin

  • 5 of 5

The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful cabin. We loved staying here! Each night we spent time by the fire pit and perfect log benches. During the day we visited Mesa Falls, Big Springs, and Kilgore. The furnishings are very nice and there was plenty of room for all of us. One thing that did pleasantly surprise us was the second bathroom. It's not advertised, but there are two full baths. One note - the picnic table is missing. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we would love to stay there again.

Clean, cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is absolutely amazing! It truly is better than the pictures. Our family of four stayed here for three nights and loved every minute of it! It has an amazing outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows, big gas fireplace inside, boardgames, books and a well-stocked kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable and the canin is warm. I HIGHLY recommend this cabin and we cannot wait to return!

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the rustic cabin. We were able to get to Yellowstone and the grizzly bear and wolf lodge easily. Great place to stay with real rustic feel. The mosquitoes are huge but we managed to survive.

Nice, quiet location

  • 4 of 5

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The house was spacious and served our needs as a family (wife and I, two toddlers and an infant). The Cabin is close to surrounding neighbors but all was quiet when we were around. There is no view to speak of from the cabin itself. It was only 25 min from West Yellowstone and it was a scenic drive. To be critical, I would suggest an upgrade on bedding and pillows. The cabin doesn’t come with many frills but we knew that coming in and it was fairly priced based on Yellowstone standards.

Looks a little run down on the outside, was pleasantly surprised with the inside. Very comfortable!

Cabin was very roomy and comfortable. Perfect for our group of 7. Great location and comfy beds with all the essentials provided. The 2 things we didn’t like were the garbage situation and having to wash all the towels before we left. I understand the garbage thing a little because it’s a problem for the whole area. But asking people to take their trash to the dump isn’t reasonable. Guests are staying in your place to sight see around the area. We were gone early every morning and didn’t get home until 10 at night. The dump wasn’t open when we were in Island Park. We don’t want to use our vacation time coming back to the cabin to go to the dump—and we didn’t know what kind of road led to the dump and if our mini van would even make it. I feel like the guests should be able to tie up all trash and leave it inside the cabin. Someone should come that day to clean/make beds/make sure everything is ready and they could haul the trash out.

As for washing the towels that’s really inconvenient for guests. The day they are checking out they have a drive ahead of them—that’s why they’re checking out— We were wanting to get on the road as we had a 7 hour drive ahead of us. People shower in the morning and we cleaned up all our dishes and the counters so to ask us to wait while the towels and cloths we used were washed and dried really delayed us. Someone is going to come make beds up for the next people, they could (and in my opinion SHOULD) be responsible for washing the towels. Besides, it just made us wonder if the previous guests had actually washed their towels or just folded their dirty ones and put them back. 🤢?.

I will always be a good tenant at a rental. I always strip the beds we used before we leave. I clean vacation rentals in my area and I understand how helpful it is to have tenants who clean up after themselves. Asking tenants to pile all the towels and sheets in a certain place, or tie up all garbage so it doesn’t stink up the house is reasonable, but I feel like asking them to do the laundry and drive to the dump is not.

Other than those 2 issues we loved our stay and would recommend it to others, but make sure to warn them about those policies.
