About this property

Wooded getaway near the mountain town of Sisters, Central Oregon

The cabin is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in the pine forest outside Sisters in Central Oregon. It’s a quiet, comfortable, spacious place, close to the amenities of Sisters and the mountains beyond, Bend, Smith Rock, and the wonders of Central Oregon. It's great for either hanging out or using as a home base for exploring the area. The interior is furnished with comfy furniture and some beautiful, nature-oriented artwork.

The large master bedroom has a king bed, wood flooring, and a spacious master bath. The other two bedrooms each have queen beds, and there is also a full-size sofa bed in the living room. It sleeps 8 easily and there are two mattresses for kids that can sleep 2-4 more. Each bedroom has a good-size dresser and a large closet.

The kitchen is well-furnished. We like to cook and have prepared our Thanksgiving feast there. There’s a full collection of cookware, knives, etc., dishes and utensils for 12, as well as a range (with oven), microwave oven, blender, mixer, fridge, dishwasher, and coffee maker. The dining table seats up to 12.

The living room, which is well-lit with plenty of space, has comfortable seating. The house is equipped with WiFi that you are welcome to use. Smart TV is provided for streaming services.

The deck in back of the house is a comfortable place to hang out, with deck tables and chairs. Enjoy the ponderosa forest, watch the bird life and the resident deer, or toss frisbees around the 2-acre property. There’s also a small porch in front of the house that’s a nice place to relax.

Vacation rental near Sisters OR
We liked the location and the setting. The house was quite cozy despite temp near 0 Fahrenheit and no use of the wood stove. It’s a house my wife and daughters say they would like to use again in the future.

Christmas celebration
The house was roomy and comfortable for our family. We enjoyed some of the games and puzzles Christmas Eve and loved seeing wildlife out the windows - squirrels, rabbits and deer. Thank you

Nice Place, Great Hostess, Good Time
Huge master bedroom; nice place all the way around. Was concerned by prior posting about bedbugs but owner reassured me the problem was fully resolved as soon as she learned of it - and YES, I saw no evidence of it whatsoever. In fact, the entire week I was there I saw a total of 1 beetle and 1 fly in the house. TV is missing "normal" cable stations but has multiple apps for specific networks and shows. WiFi and internet worked well; cell phone showed down to 1 bar at 1 point but never quit working for me, so no harm and it often had 2-3 bars inside the house. Nearest neighbor house must be 200 yards or more away so great privacy and quiet. Also if you are hard of hearing, any noise you make won't bother anyone else. Great directions - found the house on first try, in the dark, never having been there before. Kitchen has all the appliances and utensils I could want. Was a bit shy on spices, so bring your own, but otherwise no issues. Would definitely stay there again. Good time from a very accommodating hostess.

Quiet, Wooded Setting
This was the perfect location for us. It is in a quiet wooded area, away from the hustle & bustle of Sisters, yet close enough to enjoy the amenities the city has to offer. The house had plenty of space for our family of 5, as well as a good selection of toys, games, & puzzles for all ages. Would definitely stay there again!

We're a family living in Corvallis, Oregon, who have had a lifelong love of outdoor activities in the mountains. Dad does marine research at Oregon State University, Mom is a nutrition professional, and our two boys are growing up fast. We loved camping and hiking in the Sisters area and jumped at the chance to have a cabin there, and now we enjoy visiting the cabin every chance we get.

Why they chose this property

We have always loved the land around Sisters -- the mountains and rivers, the pine forest, the scenery of McKenzie Pass, the hikes up toward North Sister, the Metolius River (and, for the younger two of us, the fun of throwing rocks in it), the skiing, the rafting and kayaking. And the sun -- when we're weary of the gray that envelops the Willamette Valley for many months of the year, the escape to the east side of the mountains is priceless.

And then there's the town -- visiting the galleries to see what's new, stopping at Sno-Cap for some ice cream or the Sisters Coffee Company for baked treats, dining all over the place, or just walking around to soak up the ambiance.

We looked for a place near Sisters for a long time and couldn't find anything that really called out to us -- until we came on this cabin. We decided it was the right one when we first saw the setting and then saw the inside. Good spacious neighborhood, well-kept place, plenty of room inside, and convenient to Sisters. It took only minutes to decide that this was the place (though of course the real estate transaction took months!).

What makes this property unique

Our cabin is a great place for families to enjoy. It's big enough to sleep a bunch of people but still a cozy place to be in, and it's both a nice base for exploring the Central Oregon area as well as a nice place to hang out.
