Chara Oceana is a wonderful place to stay. The house is the perfect size for our family, and it looks exactly like the photos shown on the website. The beach is so close (basically a two minute walk, if that), and you can actually see the ocean from the back of the house.

Harbour Island itself is a welcoming, beautiful island. The people are very friendly and it is a great place to escape the fast-paced, craziness of our everyday world.

It's a beautiful house with all the amenities one would need. The yard is beautiful!

The house is very comfortable. It has places to sit outside on the deck and enough couches and chairs indoors as well. It's aesthetically enjoyable. Very close to the beach where you can hear the surf. You can make it down to the beach and the sunrise in minutes. All in all one of the best weeks of my life.

Another Great Stay at CO

My family and I are repeat visitors to CharaOceana ("CO"). We stayed there again in April 2016 and had a wonderful time as usual. The house is well-decorated and clean. The decks are great for lounging in the morning and the evening. The floorplan is perfect for a small family like mine (2 adults & 2 children). Plus, CO is steps away from Sip-Sip (probably my favorite lunch spot on the planet) and Harbour Island's stunning beach. We will be back!

Terrific Getaway

Our recent stay at the CharaOceana was perfect. I recently visited Harbour Island for a wedding and stayed at the property with four friends. The house is incredibly well maintained and very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with all of the necessary essentials and the options for linens, towels and beach equipment were great. The outdoor patio and deck was a highlight, and a perfect spot to hang out, enjoy the sun, read a book, eat dinners - basically anything.

The house is literally a stone throw to the beach, and easily accessible within moments. There are a number of great restaurants and bars within walking distance, and nothing on the island is more than a short golf cart ride away. (BTW, definitely rent a golf cart). It is also a short ride to downtown where groceries, coffee, more restaurants are all available.

The owner was a pleasure to work with and very responsive.

Myself and our entire group can't wait to come back!

great house and excellent location

My husband and I LOVED this house. It was simply, but tastefully decorated ,had lots of room with double doors that opened up to an expansive deck.

It had a huge front lawn, where my teenage son and his friends spent hours playing various sports.

Steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.

We spent every morning walking the beach which went on for miles.

Great location for walking to various restaurants on the beach, for breakfast and lunch, and just all around great house and location.

We will definitely come back here

Would highly recommend it to family and friends.

2014 stay in paradise

Such an amazing location and chic ambiance. The incredible Harbour Island beach is steps away and I am convinced it is the best beach to walk in the world. Love this house. Elegant, great feel and so convenient to the stunning beach and beach-side resorts that are out of this world for wonderful cocktails and sophisticated cuisine. I love the vibe here!
