Casa da Nêspera is a south-facing villa, that overlooks ancient olive and carob trees.

This 2 bedroom villa accommodates up to 5 people. With its private pool and garden, a open sunny living room with an impressively high ceilings and a fully equipped modern kitchen.
A pleasant south-west private terrace with gas barbecue, and nestled amid the surrounding olive and carob trees, is your private pool. Under a large carob tree is a hammock, and lounge beds for your exclusive use offering a retreat from the heat of the sun.

The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two singles. We can place an extra bed in the second bedroom for an extra guest. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and double sinks.

In addition to the climate control air conditioning, ceiling fans in the bedrooms there is also a centrally located wood burning stove, facilitating a comfortable holiday environment all year round.

Things you need to know:

* You may walk freely on our property, please feel free to pick and enjoy the nesperas in May/June, the grapes in July, the figs in August, our the almonds starting from September.

* We have amazing friendly dogs walking freely on our property Casa Nova Safra.
'Lilli' is our 9 year old Portuguese shepherd dog (Barbado da Teceira). Also 'Lu' our daughters 2 year old Cane Corso. They look maybe sad or dangerous, but are certainly not. You may always play with them, but please do NOT feed them. They are allergic to gluten.

* Smoking is forbidden inside our villas, please be aware of the risk of the fire in Portugal, do not discard cigarettes on the ground.

* The pool is not heated, but available from April 1st till Oktober 31st.

*We have beach towels, highchair, baby bed including bedding , baby bath, and a babymonitor available on request.

* If your stay with us is longer than 8 days, we will come and refresh your bed linnen & towels during your stay.

A Quiet Retreat in Algarve
Casa da Nespera is a comfortable, nicely equipped villa that feels very private and peaceful for a relaxing retreat. Conveniently located near major highways to explore the Algarve region, and just a few kilometres from Moncarapacho for getting supplies. Alex and Mildred are lovely hosts and made our stay welcoming and relaxing. They take great pride in their property and it's a beautiful oasis in the countryside.

Wonderful!
We had a lovely stay. The house is cosy and comfortable, with plenty of outdoor seating offering both sun and shade. This is a great location to explore the rural Algarve. In early April, the fields surrounding the house are a blaze of colour, there is excellent hiking nearby and beaches are 10 minutes away. Mildred, Alex and Emay were friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more.

Das kleine Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen: es liegt ruhig und doch verkehrsgünstig. Man ist ruckzuck am Meer. Es ist wunderbar eingerichtet. Die Landschaft ist schön. Und der Empfang ist überaus herzlich und unkompliziert. Vielen Dank Mildred und Alex, es war super erholsam bei Euch.

Traumhafte Idylle!!
Mildred und Alex haben auf ihrem weitläufigen Grundstück regelrechte Oasen geschaffen! Unser kleines Häuschen war mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und mit allem, was man für den Aufenthalt braucht ausgestattet. Der kleine private Pool und die vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten rund ums Haus laden zum Entspannen ein. Für uns war alles perfekt. Nochmals herzlichen Dank für die tolle Woche bei euch, Mildred und Alex. We are Mildred and Alex and we’ve been enjoying beautiful blue skies and sunny days in the Eastern Algarve since 2015. We have build three complete and modern holiday homes and our own house on our property of 20.000 m2 named Casa Nova Safra in Moncarapacho.

How did we come to this?

Mildred had already met this peaceful and pretty country and knew the area around Porto, she had very fond memories of the people and general atmosphere in Portugal. When I first visited, it was love at first sight— it reminded me of the Dutch summers from my childhood.

In the following years we decided to visit a different part of Portugal every year in order to get to know the country better. The climate in the Algarve is our favorite, spring and summer are the only two seasons. We became increasingly fond of Portugal and the Algarve and decided to leave our houseboat in the Netherlands and make Portugal our new home. We wanted to share this amazing country and region with others and decided to built 3 vacation homes. On our property we have Casa da Laranja, Casa da Nêspera and Casa da Amêndao. Our homes are open to all people from near or far, gay or straight, for a short stay or for a longer stay. See you soon!
