A Lovely Home
We traveled to this cabin as an extended family. Our daughter, son and law, and two grand daughters joined my husband and myself for one week at JaJa and David’s cabin. The weather for the week was in and out, giving us two sunny days and the rest rainy. But we found good things to do and had great fun together. One thing to be noted is that this home is not really handicapped friendly. There is a wooded path that leads down to the water, which is well prepared for walking but hard for a person that is unsteady on their feet.

Peaceful vacation home
Good communication with Jaja and helpful info from Dave upon our arrival. An amazing post and beam home that was comfortable and cozy. Away from the “crowd” but only a short drive to the restaurants and shops in Damariscotta. Pemiquid Point was nearby and breakfast at the Seagull, overlooking the ocean, was great. The house was clean and had everything needed for our stay.

About the host

Hosted by Jaja Martin

Host profile image
Dave and Jaja sailed into Midcoast Maine after a 15 year circumnavigation on a small sailboat. 'The picturesque coastline, sense of community and numerous attractions of the area were so compelling that we stayed!'

Why they chose this property

After living in various ports throughout the world, we fell in love with the Midcoast Area. When we found this unique parcel of lakefront property we felt that we owned a small piece of paradise.

What makes this property unique

Hidden from the road down a winding grassy driveway, this cottage affords the privacy we've always enjoyed. The waterfront includes a small peninsula where loons shelter and beaver swim past on the way to their lodge. We enjoy barbecuing on a warm summer evening, going for a swim, and relaxing as the sun sets.
