In real estate, the top 3 things they tell you to look for is location, location, location... Well, this single-family, 3-story town house definitely has a great location. It is conveniently located in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn, on a quiet, safe block, just 5 blocks from the Barclay Center and 11 subway lines. Located just off Park Slope's vibrant 5th Avenue retail and dining corridor, this house that sleeps 11, offers a quiet oasis in one of New York's best neighborhoods.

On the top floor, is a master bedroom suite with a 12'x14' private lounge that contains an ornamental fireplace, a queen sleeper with a 5-inch deluxe mattress, along with a 3" mattress luxury gel topper for added comfort, a 13'x14' master bedroom with 11' ceiling and an ornamental fireplace, a luxurious queen size mattress, and a writing desk, a very comfortable chaise that converts into a small suitable for children, and a bathroom with a 10' ceiling and an air-jet, deep, extra-long bathtub.

On the parlor floor, there is an art gallery, 22' x 13", that contains an ornamental fireplace, a queen sleeper with a 5" deluxe mattress, a sitting area, and a private, spacious bedroom, 12'x14', with an ornamental fireplace, a firm queen size bed, bookcase, writing desk and another comfortable chaise that converts into a small bed suitable for children.

On the garden floor, there is a spacious open-concept gourmet kitchen, 12'x30' with high-end appliances, marble floor, custom cabinets, dining area with an ornamental fireplace, a separate lounge, 13'x15', and well shaded outdoor space. The lounge contains a twin size day bed and a queen size sleeper, that also has a 3" luxury gel mattress topper for added comfort.

All exotic hardwood floors and staircases, marble bathrooms, Pella triple-pane windows, fully renovated. Plenty of fresh towels & linens are provided for your stay.

Area Points of Interest: Manhattan & Brooklyn Bridges, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Barclay Center, Grand Army Plaza, the Central Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Zoo, Prospect Park, BRIC Art, etc. We now have 2 Whole Foods Supermarkets nearby, along with an Apple Store.

3 Day minimum for all bookings. Maximum stay is 14 days. Anything less or more will be considered on a case by case basis.

Born & raised in New York City... Been in the neighborhood 45+ years... Total local girl... Attended grammar school across the street and high school just 8 blocks away at the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School where I fell in love with the study of architecture. I continued my academic journey in architecture in college and I have been helping people build pretty houses most of my career.

When the market shifted and I was downsized, I became a licensed NYC sight-seeing guide and worked for 4 years as a tour director specializing in college tours around the country. I am now self-employed, working with start ups, traveling around the country working on development projects and currently writing my first book on the journey to homeownership.

This is truly the house that love built. I came across it as an abandoned house and I fell in love immediately with the location and details. Over the years, I was able to completely renovate the house and truly make it my own.

It epitomizes the Brooklyn story of the revitalization, and still maintains a lot of old Brooklyn charm.

And as they say about real estate, location, location, location! There's lot to see and do that is in walking distance, and the property is close to Manhattan. It's a 15 minute train ride to the Wall Street, and about a 30 minute ride to midtown Manhattan. And if you rather walk, the Brooklyn Bridge is about 1.5 miles away.

What makes this house unique

Close to all transportation routes, BQE, Prospect Expressway, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge. You can get to the JFK Airport in about 45 minutes thru public transportation (Long Island Rail Road (L.I.R.R.) to the Air Train at Jamaica Station).

We are within walking distance of 11 train lines, plus the Long Island Rail Road. We are just steps away from Park Slope's vibrant 5th Avenue retail and dining corridor, which is one of one of New York's best neighborhoods. We are known for our selection of thrift shops and great variety of restaurants.

Excellent location and well appointed Brooklyn charm

My husband and I stayed in this lovely 3 level home with my mother for a holiday visit with my brother and his family who live on Park Slope in Brooklyn and this was a short 5 block walk to their brownstone. There is a grocery store less than a block from the townhome and a plethora of cafes, restaurants and boutique shops all within walking distance. The subway with an express to Manhattan is within 3 blocks as well. This townhome is beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, sitting areas and a large fairly well stocked kitchen.

The only issue to be aware of is one all townhomes and brownstones in Brooklyn have: steep narrow stairwells. There are sturdy railings, but if you have family with mobility issues these staircases could prove a challenge. This is not a complaint for us as we love the old world architecture and charm of the Brooklyn area.

Maria was very helpful and gave wonderful ideas for holiday family fun in the area. Her home guide included excellent maps and a history of the area (which my mother was so enamoured of she made a copy to take home with her!).

We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in Brooklyn

My family stayed in this Park Slope town home. It was well appointed, comfortable and a wonderful location. It even has a lovely back yard. Our hostess was very welcoming. She even offered a pack n play and a stroller. I recommend this home to any group looking for 3-4 bedrooms. Thanks, Miriam for a great week!!

A fabulous place!

Our stay was great, with plenty of space for our family. The house is beautiful, and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, with restaurants, shops, parks and the subway minutes away. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great for big families

We loved staying at the Brooklyn townhouse which had plenty of room for our family of 7. Each room was beautifully decorated and bathrooms and kitchen had beautiful, updated remodels. Bedding was comfortable and there was an air conditioner in each room. The apartment is 1/2 block for a big grocery store, so we saved money by cooking meals in the kitchen. 5th Ave. is full of restaurants and fun shops. Atlantic Ave. subway is a 5 minute walk away so it's easy to go anywhere in the city. We had a great stay!

Functional and OK, but not as nice as the price would indicate

The owner was very helpful and answered immediately when we called or wrote to her.

The house is nice, especially the kitchen, but the front yard and front door and back yard looked a bit ‘trashy’.

The neighbourhood is nice with a large grocery store just around the corner. Many nice shops and cafes nearby. Subway also very close and 45 min walk to Brooklyn Bridge.

All in all we had a wonderful stay.

There's lots to do and see here. My home is located in Downtown Brooklyn and I am in walking distance from the Barclay Center, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Grand Army Plaza, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, the Brooklyn Museum, about a 5 minute train ride from all of Downtown Brooklyn, where you will find the court houses, the Brooklyn waterfront, the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.

There are 11 train lines available and you can get into midtown Manhattan easily in about 30 minutes. I am a licensed NYC site seeing guide and help set up your itinerary. I'm also a big foodie and former food blogger, just in case if you want to come for a culinary experience. :-)

This is a very family-oriented neighborhood and many of the local children are home schooled. Please keep noise level to a minimum, especially in the back yard.

I must insist on proper recycling. We do check every single bag. There are instructions by the garbage bags. I must insist on that there be no smoking of any kind anywhere in the house, or on the premises. Again, there is a $1,500 penalty for smoking of any kind in the house.

Please keep the shades to the garden floor front window closed. It becomes a security concern if the shades are open since it faces the street. It is a safe neighborhood, but you just never know stranger's intentions.

The security gate on the garden level is to be kept locked at all times. You don't have to lock it with the key. It has a Slam Lock and locks automatically.
