Disappointed with our Stay, but Not the Owners Fault
I am kind of at a loss as to whether or not to leave this review. The owner of this timeshare was not the issue. However, we really did not enjoy our stay at this resort and will not be returning to Whydham properties.
We discovered on the first night that we had roaches in our room. The following morning we called the front desk and the concierge (on 5 separate occasions) to get the situation resolved. We never heard back, even after the concierge promised us that someone would call us back. We believe that someone may have sprayed the room, but we never got confirmation of this from the front desk despite repeated requests for an answer.
The following days the roaches were not as numerous, but on the 4th night they made a resurgence. I called the front desk again and the concierge repeatedly. It was only after I raised my voice and demanded a manager that we finally were offered another room.
We were moved into the other room and went to the pool.
When we returned, we discovered a massive cockroach crawling across the floor. Again, I called the manager, and again we were moved to another room.
The final room did not appear to have a roach problem, but by that point, our vacation was nearly over.
The whole process with Whyndham was extremely unpleasant and stressful. I am thankful the timeshare owner was kind when I brought the issue to his attention. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do anything to rectify the situation except to direct me to the front desk.
