Beautiful cabin
We loved the cabin! It was plenty roomy and nicely decorated. Easily accessible from highway 83. Plenty of bathrooms and beds. Large dining room table and comfortable couches in the living room. Nice sized kitchen, washing machine and dryer were a great bonus. Great experience.

Mixed review
Many positives about this place- woodsy location, nicely constructed log cabin, large upstairs common space, pool table, and communicative owner. However, we found several drawbacks- main floor bathroom had a non-functioning shower (no handle) and only very hot water from the sink tap; mouse droppings everywhere; not very clean generally; a bad smell in the basement; and were told to bring our own drinking and cooking water. If these and some other items were addressed, it would be a more acceptable place to stay.

I grew up in North Dakota and my wife's family is from the Portugese colony of Goa India. She was born in Nairobi, lived in London and moved to Alberta where we met. We enjoy the quiet at the 'cabin' and the deer and wild turkeys in the yard. And being able to see the milky way and all the stars at night.

Why they chose this property

We were stationed in Edmonton, Alberta and we were looking for a replacement property for a rental we had in Denver. My niece lives by Flathead Lake on the west side of the Mission Mts and we started looking there but expanded our search and found this beautiful log home over the Mt.

What makes this property unique

This Swan Valley corridor is a true wilderness area where development is limited to provide corridors for the Grizzly Bears to transit between the Bob Marshall Wilderness to the East and the Mission Mountain Wilderness area to the West. At the property you feel isolated but are actually close to the highway. You will see deer out the window daily and possibly other wildlife. A great place to take a break from a hectic pace. There is internet WIFI. But no TV(bring DVD's-video games etc). AT&T cell phone service works at the cabin. Other cell phone service is nearby at the Post Office (Verizon).
On a clear night there are more stars visible than you can imagine.
