About this property

'WIDE OPEN SPACES' and A SHORT 5 MINUTE WALK TO THE SEASHORE!

After previously owning condos and 2 other channel houses, I fell in love with this home and bought it the day I first saw it. No need to worry about roominess in this house. The cathedral ceilings in all the main living areas give this home such a spacious feel! The open kitchen/living area make watching the 55" flat screen TV a pleasure wherever you are.

Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have king sized beds, and the other has a queen. There are two full baths upstairs - one being a master bath that is directly off of the master bedroom. The other is located between the other two bedrooms. I also have two (38' width) twin fold-away beds.

Located downstairs is another queen bedroom with its' own separate bath. It has its' own private entrance for that person who might want more quiet time.

The front of the house has a covered porch with lots of seating. The back of the house has a very large deck overlooking the channel - great for sunning! There is also a gas grill for outdoor cooking.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a double-wide refrigerator, glass top stove, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, blender, toaster, crock pot, and more.

Great place east walk to beach
We had a great time. The home was supper clean , exactly as described in the advertisement. The walk to the beach is short and easy. The only thing that needs attention is the water pressure in the master bath it was non existent. Didn’t bother us we all showered in the main bath. Loved the place the 4 th bedroom downstairs was perfect for my grandson gave him some privacy from the younger two grandchildren Would recommend the home to any family.

The bedroom on the first floor, they couldn’t use it because of the mold in the ceiling in the musky smell and one bedroom the mattress was terrible had stains all over it and no lights out back and all the doors locks need to be replaced could not get them open and the call port stay wet cause the pipe was leaking had to buy a blowup mattress for the kids to sleep on.

Amazing Property
Our family loved this house! It was spacious enough to spread out and have private spaces, and big enough to fit everyone. It was clean and the location was wonderful! We can’t wait to book for next summer!

Summer 23
Great stay for our 2nd year at Susan's house. Place is always clean when we arrive. Neighbors are nice and friendly. Great location to Hog's Inlet! We bring our kayaks with us. Only downfall is this property does not have any type of dock so you at the will of the tide when deciding to go out.

Wonderful Family Vacation
My family and I had an awesome time staying at this beautiful beach house. It was nicely decorated, had a well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. The home was roomy and clean with plenty of privacy for each bedroom. The downstairs apartment was a great bonus for my 22 year old son who loved that it had its own separate entrance. The owner, Susan, was very kind and answered any questions we had promptly. The location was only a short distance from the beach, which itself was very family oriented. In addition, we enjoyed that the property was pet-friendly and we were allowed to bring our 2 dogs with us. I would highly recommend this rental as it has been our favorite by far. We would love to stay there again in the future.

About the host

Hi everybody. My name is Susan Allen. I have been a beach lover for as long as I can remember. As a little girl my parents often took me and my brother and sisters to the beach whenever my Dad could get a night or two off from work. Cherry Grove, SC was the one destination I always remember. We would rent an upstairs or downstairs of a beach property (hardly any motels back then - much less condominiums). I remember sitting on the front screened-in porch of the place we were staying hanging out with my Dad. He taught me to fish in Hog Inlet located right here at the point. I'll never forget how mad he got when I threw the entire fishing pole into the inlet. But I learned to fish. I also love recalling how my parents didn't just lie out in the sun, but they came into the ocean with us and rode the waves all day long. My Mom taught me my love of beach combing. She loved to stroll along the beach looking for seashells and that perfect shark's tooth.

I am now 70 years old, happily married to my best friend, Jimi. I am the mother of 6 beautiful children and going on 13 grandchildren! Throughout the years, I, like my parents, have taken my children to North Myrtle Beach repeatedly over the years. They, too, have an endless desire to rest and play near the ocean. Our memories there are forever.

Why they chose this property

WHY???.... DO YOU WANT TO CHOOSE MY PROPERTY?
BECAUSE YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!
Over the past 32 years, I have owned 3 different channel houses and 2 condominiums in Cherry Grove. Many years ago, in 2006, I literally found this house the same day that the owner put the 'For Sale by Owner' sign in his yard. I was closing on my house the next week so I knew funds would be available. I went up to the front door, knocked, and was invited in. Immediately, my heart started racing and I felt that unexpected flash of excitement that comes when you know that you have found something special. The home had recently been remodeled. The low ceilings had been torn out and replaced with cathedral ceilings. One bedroom had been turned into an opened spacious dining room. The once shared bathroom had been turned into a spacious master bath. Withing 30 minutes, we struck a deal. I called my family at home in Blowing Rock, NC and told them the great news. They, too, fell in love with the home when they saw it after it was bought. I seldom make a decision totally on my own, but this was a home that I knew was hard to find. You will love it too!!

What makes this property unique

Our home has a very roomy feel with cathedral ceilings and wide, open spaces. The laid back style will relax you as soon as you enter!
