Wonderful Multi-Family Visit
We comfortably stayed here with 4 different families including 5 children ranging in age from 3 to 14. Kids and adults all had a wonderful time. The cottage is beautiful and very spacious. Lots of beds! Full bathroom on each floor. Two full-sized fridges. Incredible deck. The lake is very calm which was nice for everyone. The owner is great to deal with, he was very responsive before and during our stay. I have already recommended this place to other friends and family.

Great time with friends
Loved the property. Secluded in nature is exactly what we were looking for. The cottage itself looks nicer in person than the photos, which is rare for these kinds of rentals

INCREDIBLE LOCATION AND HOST
David has provided a truly incredible cottage experience where every aspect has been accounted for! The property was fully equipped and has some pretty unique rooms and areas. I will have to say, the photos do not do Bearhead Lodge justice! An amazing spot you must experience for yourself! Thank you for everything David!

Great winter getaway
We enjoyed our stay as a group of 10. There was plenty of space and beds for more. The property and lodge are beautiful and the host David has included everything to enjoy your stay. I can imagine how awesome this property would be in the summer!! Would definitely book again.

I have dreamed of a log cabin in the woods for as long as I can remember.
I have lived most of my life in Windsor, quite far away, 6 hours drive time. I could have built anywhere closer to my home but I chose this location for its seclusion, forests, privacy.

Why they chose this property

I just love the feeling of pine logs all around, the peaceful seclusion of being deep in the forest, being so close to nature that you can touch and smell it.
Sitting high on the large deck, trees all around, looking across the lake, chipmunks running about, the silence of a vast forest and a calm lake, Loons calling out. There's nothing quite like this in the city.

What makes this property unique

The 5-minute drive on Summer Rd from the main road (Boundary Rd) is single lane with hills and curves through the forest, prepares you for that secluded feeling.
Built on a gentle hillside on the great Canadian Shield gives unique westerly views over Deer Lake and forests.
With a full basement, the windows and door walkout to the patio are on level ground so there's no feeling of being underground.
On the huge 50 foot deck, you have a commanding view of Deer Lake with trees all around. Large comfortable Muskoka chairs invite you to just sit and enjoy the view.
