This is a dream vacation home located on Ocean frontage facing south so there is exposure to the sun all day. This home has it all. A wrought iron gate swings open to a courtyard in front of the home with plenty of parking, very private and secure. Inside, the home is welcoming and beautifully appointed. The open concept great room, dinning room, and gourmet kitchen all have beautiful ocean views. The great room features lots of comfortable seating, a good selection of books, DVD’s large screen HD television with a blue ray player, and a gas fireplace. Wifi is available for your internet connection. Located on the main floor is a very cosy den with another large screen TV that could also serve as a fourth bedroom, as well as a two piece washroom and laundry room. Upstairs is a large full bathroom, two beautifully decorated bedrooms and a large master bedroom. The master bedroom has a gas fire place, a spa like bathroom and a large balcony with table & chairs with a million dollar view of the ocean and snow capped Olympic Mountain Range. Imagine yourself enjoying a cup of coffee or breakfast on the balcony. All rooms are filled with lots of light from the large windows, with views. This home can sleep 6-8 comfortably. The home also has for rent a fully equipped suite separate from the house with one bedroom and a Lazy Boy sofa bed in the living room that sleeps 4. Between the house and the suite they sleep 12. A great home for those family reunions or get together with friends.

Enjoy evenings gathered around the wood burning fire pit overlooking the ocean. Spend a great day kayaking, or canoeing from the protected waters of Cooper Cove accessed by a gentle slope with a short stair case to the ocean. Walking and biking the Galloping Goose Trail which is right across the road; two doors down is the Stickelback restaurant, and Rush kayak rentals. The village of Sooke is a 5 min drive west, the Sooke Pot Holes 10 min down the road and a 25 min drive will take you to Victoria. For the more adventuresome, Adrena Line zip lining over tree tops is just 5 mins away. This home is pet friendly.

He looks forward to the many walking and hiking trails, cycling the Galloping Goose trail, Mathason Lake, Sooke potholes, Kayaking, and spending time their with family and friends.

In 2010 while looking for water front property to purchase and build on one day I found my dream home. The modern architecture of the home, with a breath taking view from almost every room, excellent, private ocean front level lot and Ocean at the door step. This to hard to pass up as there may never be an opportunity to purchase such an amazing place again.

We were here with our 2 sons, 2 daughters in-laws and 2 granddaughters. My husband went fishing 4 days and caught salmon and halibut. Your pictures do not do it justice. No rain in 2 weeks. Enjoyed the house and grounds.

I like to start off with the positives and there are a lot of fabulous things about this house. The home is lovely and as pictured. We loved the birds that came to the shore each night and the wide variety of wildlife in the area. We are active people and this was a great area for outdoor activities.

However, the listing is a little misleading. There are only 3 bedrooms in the main house with the 4th being a den right off the kitchen that has a curtain for a door and a fold out couch. We came with 8 adults, and to comfortably fit everyone we had to rent the guest house for more money, so the nightly rate you see is for 3 bedrooms and a den without a door. Not optimal for adults who want privacy. Also, it is a loud room because it is right off the kitchen with no door. You might as well sleep in the kitchen. The listing shows someone in the bathtub, enjoying a bath, but there are rules against using that bathtub. There are signs all over the place that tell you, you can only take a 3-5 minute shower! They have a septic system that does not accommodate larger crowds. We were there for a triathlon, which was 40 degrees. We were exhausted, cold and wet by the end of the race. I can tell you that bathtub would have been great if we could have used it. There are warning signs that you'll pay the bill if there is a malfunction with the septic, that it will come off your deposit. I think that absurd considering they advertise this as a sleeps 12 group. I just got notice of my cleaning bill and my deposit took a hit on that because he under-charged me for cleaning the house. We left the house in great condition, even washed the dishes. I guess I'm ok with that, but I feel like we were misled on some important items. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from staying here because it was lovely, just know the rules! I can tell you, there are many. Oh....that firepit in the backyard. You can't use that either unless you get permission from the fire department. If you want to lower the blinds, those are taped up to prevent you from using them. I've rented many homes and have never experienced the "rule factor" as we starting calling it. The owner was pleasant to deal with and offered many ideas for the area. I think the solution might be to instruct the guests to read the septic so they can tell if there is a overflow problem. That would be better then a 3-5 minute rule. Also, advising the guest ahead of time.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feed back. I recall we discussed the 4th bedroom in detail and that it was a den with a sofa bed. This is also mentioned on the site. First complant in 8 years. I will look into what is involved in having a door for a more private and quite room The use of the fire pit. There are open burn bans in dry weather. There are also open fire bans when there is an inversion and smoke will linger low. Inversions generally do not happen in summer months but a quick call to the fire department will confirm it's ok to have a fire. The water restictions are nessesary with back to back large groups in the high season, as the septic system has a permit and meter to discharge 500 Gallons per day. This is because the field is so close to the ocean. The septic system was replaced 2 year ago and is the latest technology. In 8 years there has been one incedent of over use of water discharge. This required the septic tank to be pumped out. The cost was $250. I will mention on the site the use of the jacuzzi tub is limited depending on time of year. The cleaning fee paid for this stay was based on 6 guests. There were 2 additional guests that increased the cost of cleaning and laundry by $60. There have been many times as mentioned in other review that cleaning costs charged were actually less than charged and guests received some cleaning costs paid back with there damage deposit.

Beautiful home and lovely setting

My husband and I, five friends, and two dogs stayed at Eagle on the Beach for a vacation this week and had a wonderful time! The house certainly lived up to its description and met our expectations in every way. It was immaculate, and the gourmet kitchen had everything we could possibly want. We ended up eating all of our meals at the house and loved the large dining tables. Our dogs had the best time in the yard! I don't think they wanted to come home. I would definitely recommend this house and the entire Sooke area. So many trails and provincial parks to explore! Thank you, Steve, for a fabulous vacation!

Beautiful Home!

Beautiful home with gorgeous view and lovely backyard! Our group of 8 stayed in the main house and had such a great time! It was meticulously clean and had all the amenities you could think of to need! Dawn, the property manager, was welcoming and got us set up with anything we could possibly need!

There is a need to limit shower time, especially with larger groups, as the property is on a septic system, but that was no problem for us and completely understandable.

The only (I mean literally, the only complaint I could possibly think of--the place is great!) is that you aren't supposed to use the blinds, and there are not curtains, which leads to some very bright mornings without the ability to snooze the day away. But you wake up to a great view, so even that is a minor issue!

Fabulous place to get together with family and friends

This house was awesome fully equipped to meet all of our needs even a highchair and playpen which was great for the grand baby. The scenery was breathtaking and the house well maintained we will be back and highly recommend this Home away from home.

True Waterfront Paradise

We recently stayed at Eagle on the Beach for 6 nights with friends of ours....we were very impressed. Firstly, the location is are literally steps away from the ocean...what a view to wake up to each morning...!

The house is only a few minutes from downtown Sooke so grocery shopping, touring, and activities were very handy to get to.

The kitchen in this house is amazing...we prepared several meals in the kitchen and found everything we needed (and more)...two full-size refrigerators...Wow..!

The bedrooms are awesome...we used the two bedrooms with king beds and found the beds to be very comfortable...Lots of space to live in for three couples or two families to share the space...The property manager (Dawn) met us at the house when we arrived and went through everything with us, so we were very comfortable right from the start.

We would definitely book this property again.

This place is absolutely fantastic! A beautiful property and great access to kayaking, hiking, cycling and swimming - we were there for a week and had a great time. The house and grounds are extremely well maintained and the owner and property manager ensured everything went flawlessly for our stay.

The Eagle On The Beach is located in Cooper Cove which is a beautiful sheltered 5 Km long Cove. It's great for Kayaking, Paddle Boarding and Wind Surfing. Rush Adventures is 2 doors away and rents Kayaks and provides Kayak leasons.

The Famous, Scenic, 55 Km long Galloping Goose Trial is located across the road and is wonderful for walking and cycling on. Cycle to the Sooke Pot Holes or to down town Victoria.

12 West are Surfing Beaches, Many Parks and Hiking Trail and enjoy spectacular drive along the West Coast
