This is our 3rd year and we love it. It is very clean, well organized, has everything you need and a great place to have a family Thanksgiving. Great location between Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. The owner, Josh Greer, is very accommodating and is always available if needed. First class place!
I've been coming up to Beech Hill every summer since I was a kid and introduced my husband to it shortly after we married. Staying at Josh's place was wonderful and enhanced the affection we already had for the lake. Walking in we were taken back with the view, the furnishings and the immaculate conditions. Oh, and the wine, beer and s'mores fixings! We wanted for nothing and enjoyed our time here immensely. Thanks a million for a wonderful vacation!

The house was in very nice condition. We had 8 adults and 5 kids 4 and under. The house comes with lots of water "toys" - kayaks, etc and dock. The little kids had fun in the playground in the back yard, and there were many toys in the family room closet. Kitchen is well stocked and in a good location where you can stay connected to all that is going on. Sparklers and smores were a nice touch, as is the wood and fire ring. Only thing we'd suggest are some blackout curtains in the bedrooms.
Josh is always willing to help.
Everything was great. Lots of time for little ones. Kayaks, canoe, dock and fire ring for the whole family.
Overall experience was fantastic! The house was very well suited for our families and felt very comfortable. The location was outstanding and close proximity to the beach was a definite plus! We used the canoe, kayaks, and paddle board a lot and really well utilized the lake and float. The surroundings were magnificent and the neighbors were friendly and helpful. Our stay was just outstanding!
A few suggestions:
1. Add AC unit to downstairs back rooms as they tend to get very warm. Especially the back room with the full bed was quite musty to smell and humid due to it's location. An AC unit in each of those rooms would be tremendously helpful to keep the air flowing.
2. Need a new can opener as the one available is not working
3. Would consider another fridge in the basement to accommodate food for the number of people staying at the house. We were at a max with 9 people and needed to have a lot of food for the week
4. Consider adding a few bikes for kids to ride to beach and long the dirt road.
We had a great time and the house fits us perfectly. Plenty of space for 9 adults and 3 kids! Love the updates and addition of the paddle board.
