I was born and raised in Tucson. I lived in NYC for many years and returned to Tucson in 1987. My family currently lives in the main house on the property where the guest house is located.
Michelle Stubbs purchased this studio in 2005
I have always loved this area of Tucson. I grew up in a house a few blocks away from this house. The property is like having your own private oasis right in the heart of Tucson. Privacy and close to everything - what more could you ask for?
The main house and guesthouse are located in a truly historic, beautiful neighborhood. The main house was believed to have been built in the 1930s for the first manager of the Arizona Inn. I loved this house the second I walked in the front door. The guesthouse (approximately 700 square feet)was built in 1958. It's a terrific open layout with a sitting area with a fireplace, working/dining area, etc.
We experience our third stay at this comfortable, clean and conveniently located guest studio over the past ten days. We like be staying here each year when the Ohio winters get to be too much for us. Michelle is a wonderful host and the facility, including the sun-filled patio, is just perfect for us
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Close to U of A campus and central location made for easy trips to downtown. The studio is spacious and sparkling clean. Michelle is gracious and kind. We hope to return next year!
The owner is very gracious and the property is charming. There are no laundry facilities or much of a kitchen but that is all the more reason to get out and discover what Tucson has to offer.
Charming and well-taken care of. Private and safe. One of the better VRBO places I have ever stayed in. Excellent value.
What a great little place. Nicely appointed and in a great location. Great private courtyard for hanging out and Michelle ,the owner, was very attentive. I would definitley stay again and highly recommend it.
My favorite place to stay in Tucson. The best bed, the best room... The best.
The best location for great dining, shopping, museums, the University of Arizona, downtown, the famous yearly Gem and Mineral Show , movies, theater, and the University Medical Center (the list is endless) are all within minutes away. It's also easy to get to The Desert Museum, Sabino Canyon, and the freeway for day trips to Tubac, Nogales, Bisbee and the Biosphere.
