Wanted to move to Paonia just to live in this perfect home

  • 5 of 5

Have never stayed in a place this comfortable and thoughtful before. We have stayed in several places thru VRBO over the last several years and have never been so sad to leave one before. They thought of everything. We cooked several family meals in the wonderful, fully stocked kitchen. Our grown sons live in Paonia and they hung out there, and ate and watched movies with us. It was an even better family vacay experience because we all felt so at home there. We were able to walk to get groceries, eat at wonderful places, and even caught a yoga class on Sunday morning. There were such perfect instructions for everything I did not have any problems at all knowing how to leave things or where things were. I am getting sad just writing this because I miss it. I hope others will love it and respect it the way we did.

So clean, quiet, and cozy… You will have a hard time leaving it!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time staying at the Paonia farmhouse, and we hope to be back someday with our children. We used it as a base to bike all over the countryside, and when we came back, it was an easy walk into town for meals, and even a concert. Sharon was so welcoming that combined with the little touches in the home, you really do feel like a wanted guest. We have stayed in probably a dozen different vacation rentals all over the country, and this was by far our favorite!

Beautiful farm house. Fully furnished. Felt at home. Reminded us of our Granny with the antiques.

The owners of this farm house were amazing!! They went way beyond the call of duty. They made us feel at home with fresh baked cookies, and a bowl of fresh locally grown apples. We enjoyed walking through the town each morning. The house was excellent. We will stay again. My husband got down in his back, (terrible thing to happen when you are on vacation) and Ms. Sharon was going to another town and she got him a back brace. She even brought over an ice pack. (Plus)......

Our stay was amazing!! Paonia is a great place to stay. Really close to the snow covered mountains. Very reasonably priced as well. We are proud of our choice. Ms. Sharon, may God bless you and your family richly!! In Chirst. Pastors Troy and Gina Powers from Tennessee.

Idyllic family stay

  • 5 of 5

There was plenty of room for my wife, myself, and our four children. The house was neat and nicely decorated, yet comfortable. The owner was friendly and made us feel at home from the start and throughout our visit. The location is in a quiet little town, known for its orchards and wineries, but with several little artsy shops and restaurants and a park with frequent live music performances. The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is about an hour and a half away, or a scenic drive to the north rim of the canyon is about an hour away. Grand Mesa is an hour and a half away, Aspen about two hours away. The Gunnison National Forest is nearby; actually it's just one of several large, wild national forests within an hour or two's driving distance.
