About this property

Manor barn in a 800 acres private stud farm horses property *****

The barn of the Cleronde Manor is a 17th century classified historical monuments (1639). Fully renovated with the manor and stud farm of horses, overlooking to a flowers park, inside a property of 800 acres including a forest (WWII historical). The barn is 200 Sqm. It is a family property for the last 200 years purchased by our grain grain grand father, the Baron Gerard. Nephew of the famous painter François Gerard.
The barn is a part of the Cleronde Manor. It is a 2 bedrooms loft place with one bathroom, toilets and kitchenette. The main room (very big as per the pictures) is having a cheminey, salon and a big dining table. Fully renovated in 2015 with high confort standarts. Breakfast can be provided upon request inside the manor main dining room daily (upon request and availability).

You will be our guest during your stay and having full access to the barn of course, which will be your home, but to the full property. The forest, the lakes... inside a 800 acres private property. The forest is yours for a walk or a jogging, the lake is yours for fishing or a romantic walk. You will have the pleasure to see our race horses in the fields and box's (guided tour can be provided). The property is surrounding by our 250 English racing horses. The wood inside the property was the theater of strong fights between Germans and Americans on the 8/06/44. Will show you the places.

The D-Day landing beach of Omaha and the US Cemetery are just 6 miles away.

Other richly historical towns and cities such as Caen, St Lo, Mont St Michel, Deauville and Honfleur are all within driving distances for day trips.

Perfect stay near Normany
We can't say enough about this property. The host, the views, the accommodations all perfect. We will be back again! This is a spectacular find in the French countryside! We only rented the barn which is a 5 star "Barn" in itself but we toured the "Manor" and it is 5****** and more. Every picture you take here is like being in a movie.

Impressive
This barn of the Manoir de Cleronde couldn't have been more amazing. Very friendly owners and incredible view of the countryside. The rooms were so spacious, with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever had in a bedroom. Sad we only stayed here 5 nights. Ask them to talk about their horses and the property history. Can't wait to visit again.
