Ski Haus - German Style Chalet in Newry Maine. Close to hiking, skiing and XC

This rental option is a home that gives its guests a true "getaway" feel! Inspired by authentic Chalet Style Homes native to the Alps, this house was built with an architectural feel in mind.

This mountainside chalet is nestled into the forest just beyond Sunday River Ski Resort. From this location, you 5 minutes from world class skiing at Sunday River, popular snow-covered hiking trails, and cross-country ski trails.

This recreational center is a great base camp for enjoying Maine's wilderness year round.

The layout of the exterior of the house includes the main level deck which faces Jordan Bowl and Aurora Peak. The second level boasts a deck located off of the master bedrooms, also facing the ski resort.

Inside of the home, guests will be comfortable with plenty of communal space to and visit around the woodstove while looking towards views of the Sunday River Range.

The lower level of the home is arranged with ping pong tables, a foosball table along with a supply of board games and books.

The three-story layout is ideal for two families and fully equipped with Wifi and a DVD player.

Important Notes:

Snow removal: All our homes are contracted with various snow removal companies in the area. This includes plow service and snow shoveling for decks and harder to reach areas.

Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking.

Great house and location
This house was a fabulous place to stay for our family of 4 and friends with a family of 4 skiing @ Sunday River. Easy parking. Easy directions w/ GPS. Easily accessible road/driveway. Very clean bathrooms and kitchen--spotless refrigerator! Plenty of places/options to sleep. Nice bathrooms for families/kids. Full kitchen with lots of available amenities. I was so happy when I was the last one of 8 to take a shower and found there was STILL hot water one night. Great play room with ping pong and foosball. Easy laundry room. Great communication with the Property Manager. You must be able to do stairs to stay here.

This ski chalet was perfect for our stay in Newry.
Loved watching the sunrise from the master bedroom each morning. All of the beds were comfortable. The woodstove made the living room cozy. The downstairs game room was perfect for kids and stashing gear. We had a great time playing games and enjoying the views. Would definitely rent again.

The cozy Sunday chalet.
Been heading up to the Sunday River area for years with friends and family, and this home extended all our great memories. Beyond clean and warm, with all household amenities, family fun games, while being nestled just a few minutes from the trails with great views of the resort. We’d definitely stay here again.

Amazing family skiing vacations
We have spent our President’s week vacations in this amazing chalet. This chalet is at 5 mns from Sunday River, in a very quiet place and has everything for family entairtement!
