Amazing location, great place, great host
Perfect location right by Frenchman street but just far enough away to be quieter. I'm the Marigny but not too far in so easy access to the French quarter but also nice to get away. Bikes! Great breakfasts nearby! Strongly recommended for two couples traveling.

Delightful home in perfect location
The home is located just at the edge of the French Quarter which gives easy walking access to anything you would want to do in the area. We walked to all our dinners, fantastic music venues, Jackson Square, the Steamboat Natchez, French Market etc. The house itself was perfect for two couples as there is a bedroom with full bathroom on each floor. Gorgeous walled patio with fairy lights was used by us nightly. Kitchen was spotless and well supplied. If you look at the pictures listed on the website you will know exactly what you can look forward to. A perfect visit to NOLA in the perfect home and location.

Hello from New Orleans...birthplace of Jazz
I'm Cindy your host and a Louisiana native. My husband and I bought our home here in New Orleans becauuse it is a uniquely wonderful place to live and we fell in love with the Crescent City.
When we're not travelling and experiencing new cultures we love to listen and dance to the world-class jazz bands just around the corner from our house. We're also lucky to be able to participate in the city's uncommon abundance of festivals all year long.
We enjoy great Cajun/Creole cuisine, riding bicycles,walking/hiking and dancing.
My hunband works in the science world and as for me I care for this wonderful old house

I invite you to come and enjoy our beautifully renovated home here in the Big Easy, we want to make you feel comfortable during your stay.

I hope you find many Golden Moments in this beautiful living museum of New Orleans.

As they say here ....Laissez Bon Temps Rouler

Why they chose this property

Our house is located in what is locally known as the Marigny Triangle, the triangular area between Esplanade and Elysian Fields Avenue. Bordering the French Quarter the Marigny is one of the most unique neighborhoods in New Orleans.

Faubourg Marigny is one of New Orleans' oldest neighborhoods and was one of the first surburbs of the Vieux Carre

If you want to get a sense of what the French Quarter must have been like before becoming the international destination it is now ,come stay at our house, walk one block and there it is, the famed Frenchmen Street. The jazz clubs lining Frenchmen Street are world-famous and every night you can hear live music.

Brass bands are commonly found on the corner of Chartres and Frenchmen and will give you an opportunity to second line alongside locals.

Take a bike ride and spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Bike ride or walk through the park to the bywater end of the park a eat barbecue at The Joint

So feel free to get outside, stroll, wander and dance in the street. You'll find everything that makes New Orleans a uniquely wonderful place.

What makes this property unique

Info about Streetcars in New Orleans

Streetcars in New Orleans offer $1.25 fares and can be paid with exact change when you board. One, three, and 31-day unlimited ride “Jazzy Passes” are also available for $3, $9 and $55

A short walk from our house you can ride on two streetcar lines

1 - The north Rampart /St. Claude line
@ st claude at pauger street

The newest street car line runs from the Marigny to the Central Business District passing the Saenger Theater. With access to major hubs like Canal Street and Loyola Avenue, this streetcar line creates convenient connections to the Garden District. For a great day out in the Garden District, Uber out, have lunch at one of the many fabulous restaurants, gaze at the mansions and ride a street car back.

2 - The Riverfront Line
@ Esplanade Ave/North Peters in front of the old U.S. mint building

The Riverfront Street car starts its run just outside the French Quarter at the south end of the French Market. From this starting point the streetcar travels upriver past the six blocks of shops and restaurants of the French Market. Then the streetcar rolls on past the Café Du Monde which unfortunately is behind the levee wall, the Moonwalk will be on your riverside and is a relaxing area to take in the sights of the river. Next you pass the Steamboat Natchez dock, Woldenberg Park (a awesome green space built on top of a warf), the Aquarium of the Americas, the IMAX theatre, the Canal Street Ferry (take a ride across the river), the Plaza de Espana,Harrah’s Casino, and the Outlet Collection Riverwalk, the nation's first downtown outlet center

P.S Café Du Monde for beignets & coffee has a take-a-way counter around the back .
