My story!

My name is Dan; I own my own Plumbing And Heating Business, and I manage this property. This is not owned or operated by any corporate outfit. Both businesses keep me very busy. My daughter is very active in volleyball, choir, and art; and is a wonderful student. We would like to welcome you to our "Rustic Dream Cabin"…your home away from home in Estes Park, Colorado!

Since I come from a family if 5, I know what you are looking for in a vacation home when you travel. We have worked very hard to update our home and create a relaxing stress free cozy cabin atmosphere with a rustic and industrial feel plus all the amenities. We spared no expense.

This house is stocked with everything you need from kitchen hardware, linens, towels, high chair, portable crib, board games, air hockey table, foosball table, ping pong table, (table games in the garage/game room) to Wi-Fi. 420.

Sorry no pets.

This house does not have air conditioning, however; the walls and floor are insulated with expanding foam, which keeps the house cooler in summer and warmer in winter (very well insulated).

Hot tub and outdoor bar table with fire trough for relaxing at the end of a long day in Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park. 420. Smoking outside only!!!

Wonderful place to stay
We had a wonderful time on our first trip to Estes Park! The house was perfect and literally had everything you need. The property manager was available if we needed him, but we never really did. We did some sledding at the YMCA and sleds were provided at the house, which was a huge plus, the kids loved it! Perfect place to stay and hope we can return!

Rustic Dream Cabin
Beautiful house with all the amenities you'll ever need for a perfect stay with family, friends or just a single gent or misses. Close to Estes Park with restraunts, gas station, and liquor within walking distance. Very cormfortable! And relaxing! Thanks again for the blessed time we had and very much enjoyed our stay. Cheers!

Perfect Stay
We really enjoyed this gem of a house. Dan has put a lot of details into his home. There was a Bidet in both bathrooms. The master bathroom shower was great with it's body shower heads. The backyard really is a surprise how nice it is. We enjoyed both gas fire pits and the hot tube. The house has so many games and activities to entertain you. I highly recommend this property.

I was born in Dyersville, Iowa. (Field of Dreams and Farm Toy Capital of the World) Grew up working in die casting factories and working on farms. Moved to Estes Park in August of 1999, quit a design engineering job to work for my brother as a plumber. I moved here with my clothes, a stereo, and a motorcycle. My grandfather owned his own plumbing and heating business in Dubuque, Iowa. and in 2013 I decided to start my own business named after my grandfathers called Curtis - Straub Plumbing And Heating LLC. May 6th of 2013 (My parents were married May 5th). I was a single dad with a daughter born in 2007. I was very blessed to buy this old 2 bedroom 2 bath house, built in 1959. It had never been updated and I have been dreaming of fixing it up. We have been working nights and weekends for almost a year before finishing this project. Lots of LOVE was put into this place you can feel the good vibes as you enter it.

Why they chose this property

When I saw this property I saw a diamond in the rough and knew I could remodel most of it myself. It was perfect for my daughter and I. Close to the School, removed enough from the busy downtown area, but walking distance, close to the lake and fairgrounds, large 1/2 acre lot, great views. This was a solid, well built home and is cozy and simple. After leaving Iowa I have lived without a garage for 13 years and this garage was the perfect place to start my business.

What makes this property unique

What I love about this house; Where do I begin? I love that it is a single level, its simple, large back yard, awesome views, walking distance to all the places you want to go. Its in ESTES PARK! How lucky I am to live in the mountains, where I belong!
