Luxury Rome Country VILLA Huge Pool Tennis PingPong BBQ Sauna Weddings Cooking

THIS VILLA FOLLOWS THE HIGHEST CLEANING STANDARDS, INCLUDING USE OF A PROFESSIONAL OZONE MACHINE TO SANITIZE ALL INDOOR SPACES.

This villa offers more than a simple vacation. It offers a unique experience: the best of the countryside, the city and the Italian tradition in one location: convenient railway links and easy auto routes to ROME (30 min) make it possible to combine the rustic tranquility of a magical landscape with the excitement of the Eternal City.

The family who owns the villa has always nurtured and shared the pleasure of gathering with friends in the countryside for the family's most important festive occasions. It is in this tradition that the villa was created.

Recently, the villa underwent a major renovation and upgrade. A large new luxurious demonstration kitchen with multiple cook stations and new appliances has been built. The bedrooms and bathrooms have been completely renovated and upgraded to a luxury level. New furniture has been added. The tennis court has been renovated with the highest-quality made in Italy synthetic-grass.

BEDROOMS

The villa has eight luxurious newly-renovated, newly-refurnished rooms with American king sized beds, air conditioning and private baths, arranged as follows:

- First floor:

Two large suites with private bath with separate shower and soaking tub opening into the room. Panoramic views of hills, mountains, countryside, sunrise/sunset.

Three rooms with private bath. Views of hills, mountains and olive groves and lighted hilltop castles.

- Ground floor:

Three rooms with private bath and shared, external patio overlooking garden and olive trees. One bathroom has shower and separate tub.

All king size beds can split into two twins except for one of the suites upstairs.

EXTRA BEDS: up to 7 extra single beds can be added in the Villa and 20+ beds available at next door b&b .

VILLA GARDEN: The villa is situated in a lush 2-hectare garden surrounded by hundred-year-old olive groves, cypresses, cedars, orange, cherry, and lemon trees as well as a wide range of flowers. Outside the fenced garden, there are 24 hectares of open field.
There is a covered terrace with several tables, chairs, and seating arrangements with couches. Within the landscaped garden is a gazebo with a table and chairs as well as a barbecue and wood-burning oven. There is a large swimming pool (20m x 10m) and private pool house with showers and a sauna.

Pool is huge and half of it very deep. It is not heated.

Brand new Tennis Court.

Access to the villa is via a paved road three kilometers from the main road of Salaria and parking is available within the property grounds.

INTERIORS (800m2): The interior provides an atmosphere of art, culture, and appreciation for the finest that modern design has to offer, both stimulating the intellect and giving pause to reflect and relax in an environment made warm by the richness and elegance of its design details. The spacious living room has couches, a fireplace, satellite TV, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that look onto the gardens. There is a separate dining room and attached to it a huge new luxurious kitchen with multiple cook stations and new appliances. On the ground floor a beautiful windowed gallery leads to a separate suite of three bedrooms that offers direct access to the garden. Each of the three bedrooms has a 200 cm king--sized bed that can split into twins and en-suite bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower.
A beautiful wooden staircase of 12 steps leads to five newly renovated bedrooms, each with 200 cm king--sized bed that can split into twins and en-suite bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. Two of the five bedrooms upstairs are suites with en-suite bathroom with sink, toilet, shower and bathtub opening into the bedroom.

All 8 bedrooms are air conditioned and have tv. No need to miss the comforts of home!

A wonderful place for a family gathering just a short drive from Rome.
La Cucina exceeded our expectations in every way. Our family gathered from three places in Europe and the US to meet for time together mixed with seeing the best of Rome. This place is just as the photos suggest. We cooked in the magnificent kitchen and grilled on the oven / grill outside. We played pickle ball and the kids went swimming. Our host were available and always gracious. We are so thankful for the time we shared at the dining table and living room. And we played cards in the well stocked game room until late into the night. And Rome!!! for days was amazing.

Exceptional!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and it was as amazingly brilliant as the first time 10 years when we got married at the Savelli Castle in Palombara. there is absolutely nothing to fault at this property, honestly! lovely pool, sunsets, outside dining, aircon in all spacious rooms, beautifully appointed, with spacious and modern kitchen. excellent train link to Rome and airports, tennis court, sauna. do not look further and just book it! owner lives next door and is extremely helpful and reasonable. they can arrange all sorts - weddings especially, but also visits and guide in Rome and other local attractions. We intend to come back regularly, the family love the place, and now consider it home. For any spillover guests there is a very nice agriturismo literally next door - Tenuta Gran Paradiso. i would also recommend a local restaurant 10 min away in Monterotondo called Kotuki - asian fusion 'eat all you can'.

La Dolce Vita
Villa Cucina Sabina in a beautiful hideaway in the hillside outside of Rome. A quiet sanctuary still undiscovered by many. Our family of 15 spent a week at La Cucina Sabina in August and the days were filled living the La Dolce Vita! The villa is luxurious yet comfortable, filled with beautiful art and furnishings. We enjoyed the abundant terraces outside, especially dinner on the Sunset Terrace. The bedrooms and bathrooms have been updated with the highest standards of finish materials and the individually controlled air conditioning in the bedrooms was much appreciated with the typical August weather in Italy. Giuseppe and his associates offer unparalleled service, everything from arranging a photographer to take a family photograph, car service, to making restaurant recommendations and reservations. One night we came home after a busy day in Rome and were too tired to go out to eat. Ricardo not only had a restaurant to recommend for take-away but volunteered to place the order for us. Our seven grandchildren, ages 12-1, were constantly entertained with the pool, tennis court, ping pong, the chickens or just exploring the expansive property. Chef Carla, Vera, and Nico were very welcoming and immediately become part of the family. The meals chef Carla created were amazing and every night Vera would set a table with beautiful dinnerware, flowers from the garden and candles. We felt like we were at an elegant restaurant. The views from the villa are stunning including the olive oil trees surrounding the villa. Not only beautiful, but the olive oil harvested at the Cucina is incredible. Our family has already ordered our first case which they will ship to the US. We were so happy with La Cucina Sabina and highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Italy! On behalf of our family, I would like to thank Giuseppe again for sharing his beautiful family home with us and helping to arrange a truly memorable week at La Cucina Sabina! Grazie Mille!

Incomparable Villa, Amenities and personnel
This year was our 20th annual family vacation and all 14 in our family, with grandchildren ages 10-24, agreed this was the best and most impressive villa/house we have stayed in. The “About” the Villa owners description and photos are accurate and if anything, understate the experience. The personnel, Carla the chef, Vera (who speaks Italian and English)the housekeeper/serving assistant, Nico the grounds keeper/handy man and of course Giuseppe, part owner and our host, exceeded expectations. Giuseppe responded quickly to all emails prior to arrival and was accessible throughout our stay. He greeted us with ice water and lemons upon arrival and purchased a soccer ball so our athletes could practice while on vacation. The new turf tennis court was perfect for soccer tennis. Both the inside and outside seating areas are large enough for all the family to gather comfortably. The bedrooms and en suite baths were great and this was the first time everyone was happy with their bedrooms. The beds are firm but comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. Housekeeping was on Tuesday and Thursday and the Villa and grounds were spotless throughout our stay. The Villa is close to a local train station with service to Rome. Autos are a necessity and we often drove to the train and felt safe to leave the autos in the station parking area. There is a Villa pergola to protect autos from the hot sun. The Olympic size pool was a big hit both day and night, and our youngest granddaughter said it was bigger and better than the pool at the Country Club at home. Pictures of the pool at night capture a photographic pool with distant town lights in the background. We opted for the reasonably priced “Easy Food Package” which includes a daily scrumptious buffet breakfast and three gourmet dinners, plus a pizza party where you can make your own pizza. Carla the chef prepares everything fresh daily and the fresh baked croissants were a family favorite. She was able to accommodate our need for some allergy free items. The dinners compare favorably to the best restaurants. The outside dinning table is perfect to enjoy great views and sunsets. Carla quickly became like part of the family and despite our limited Italian and Carla’s limited English, we communicated well with the help of I phone language apps and many smiles. . At the end of our stay, with a few tears, everyone gave Carla a big hug and arrivederci! We will definitely consider a return trip.

About the host

Hosted by Giuseppe Micheletta

Host profile image
Giuseppe was born and raised in Rome, Italy. With his paternal roots deep in Southern Italy and his maternal ones deep in Northern Italy, he grew up breathing the amazing cultural diversity of its beloved country. He worked as a lawyer and he served as a young city councilor in Rome. He then moved to the US, where he graduated from Columbia Law school and practiced law in NY for a few years. When he came back to Italy to get married at the family villa with guests from all over the world, he re-discovered the beauty of his country and realized that he wanted to live and follow his passion of creating his own business to "promote" the amazing food and culture of Italy to people around the world. He moved back to Italy, had two children and started the villa business with those things in mind. He then met an Italian American guy with similar passions and a similar dream of starting a food-related business in Italy. This guy, Mike, was a guest at the villa and so it was natural that they started talking, exchanging emails and ideas about creating this great business together and so, we embarked.

My family has always nurtured and shared the pleasure of gathering with friends in the countryside for the family's most important festive occasions. It is in this tradition that my father built the villa in the early 1980's. An inspiring work of architecture, the three-story villa was designed by Gustavo Polimeni to evoke the lines and vision of the great American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Why they chose this property

From Rome city center it takes only thirty minutes to reach the Sabina region, where the villa is located, and discover its culture, history, and the flavors of its land. Nestled in a magical landscape, the villa is of rare beauty. For those who love tranquility, art, nature, and design, Villa La Cucina Sabina will provide an unforgettable vacation or event experience unlike any other.

What makes this property unique

Countryside peace & tranquility + only 30 min from Rome (by train or car).
