Why Karen Hoff chose Apalachicola

While Florida plays host to Disney World, Miami, and the Florida Keys, Apalachicola boast its own style and is laid back and unpretentious. Enjoy Oysters ten feet away at a local Raw Bar, or walk ten minutes to enjoy the local culture and restaurants. The real attraction to Apalachicola is a town that embodies Florida in the 50's.

What makes this house boat unique

Located on the Apalachicola River within close proximity to Apalachicola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, the views from every window are breathtaking. The front screened porch offers close up constantly changing scenery including dolphins, turtles, birds and an occasional alligator! Let us know if we can arrange to have a fishing guide pick you up from your houseboat!

Wonderful and relaxing getaway

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this houseboat and vacation was wonderful! The views from the back porch were beautiful and easy walkable access to the town restaurants and shops was convenient. The houseboat had all the right amenities to feel like home.

Karen was a terrific hostess and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants were spot on. We will definitely be back some day.

Well maintained and exactly what I was looking for.

Whether it’s a romantic weekend or a week long visit for the local attractions, this is the perfect property. Located right in Apalachicola, this property provides extremely easy access to all this beautiful Town has to offer. St. George Island with its beautiful beach is a short scenic drive away and we’ll worth it. Met a number of very nice local people who had a lot of info and advice to offer. One of the more memorable was Captain Rudy Gay of Apalachicola Charters. Just a property located in a great Town. Can’t wait to visit again.

Reelaxation is definitely what you’ll get...

  • 5 of 5

Reelaxation exceeded every expectation we had when booking this houseboat. We enjoyed fishing off the front of the boat, enjoyed the vast wildlife in the area and enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and front area sipping coffee, drinks and just took in the fabulous view. The town is great! We enjoyed the locals, made friends and enjoyed the great restaurants and stores too. We will be back again! Thanks Karen (and Joe) for taking such good care of us!

Very clean and equipped with unexpected features: bottles of water, ice cubes, pamphlets of things to do in the area, books & videos. Also the owner was there to greet us.

Reelaxation cabin in Apalachicola Fl.

  • 5 of 5

Very sweet, calming , relaxing location. The cabin was neat, clean, with all pots, pans, plates, utensils stocked for cooking if you desire to do so. it was unusually cold for that region, and the heating unit was not sufficient to keep the entire space warm, especially at night. There are extra blankets for comfort. Karen was accommodating to make sure our needs were met. Great little place! We enjoyed the early morning dolphin run passing the houseboat and other wildlife. Thank you for a memorable stay!

What great place

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay...the houseboat was spotless. It would be a perfect place for a long weekend anytime of the year...the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had just what we needed for cooking. We came as strangers but left as friends with Karen...she’s a good hostess and really takes care of her properties...
