Blossom Village Cottage – Charming and Unique Beachfront Accommodations

Bedrooms 3
Property type villa
Minimum Stay 1 - 999 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 6

Walk directly from your classic beach cottage to the palm-shaded beach in one-of-a-kind Little Cayman, the smallest and most remote of the Cayman Islands.

Blossom Village Cottage is a collection of three charming cottages in a unique configuration, with a “main” cottage and two separate, detached “bedroom” cottages.

Rent the main, one-bedroom cottage by itself for a romantic getaway. Or add one or both of the bedroom cottages, located on the same beachfront property, to create a wonderful group vacation that provides both a gathering place for spending time together—with kitchen, den, and dining area—and the total privacy of detached bedrooms to retreat to at the end of the day.

Don’t worry—when you rent the main cottage, the bedroom cottages are never rented out separately to other guests. Your vacation is all yours.

Blossom Village Cottage offers an experience that recollects a classic beach vacation: sun, soft sand studded with seashells, warm, clear water, and cosy, simple cottages with lots of character.

Classic details include screened porches for coffees by the Caribbean in the morning breeze, crisp white paint, and a wonderful location in quaint Blossom Village. The Cottage is within easy walking distance of the airport, a small general store, and the Hungry Iguana Restaurant.

Blossom Cottage and Little Cayman are not for those who seek a cosmopolitan vacation with thriving nightlife and resort amenities. Instead, we are for scuba divers (our scuba diving is world-famous), seclusion-seekers, wildlife-watchers, dreamers, and those in search of the romance of a small Caribbean island with a year-round population of just 170. *RATES QUOTED BELOW ARE BASED ON MINIMUM OCCUPANCY AND WILL INCREASE UP TO MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY-EMAIL OR CALL FOR CUSTOM QUOTE*

Perfect Cozy Cottage for a Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from a 12 night stay at Blossom Village Cottage. We could not have been happier with our choice. The cottage is loaded with charm and character. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. In fact, Blossom Village Cottage is so picturesque, we bought a print of a watercolor of it at the Little Cayman National Trust.

The cottage had everything we needed from cooking implements to beach towels to bicycles. We loved our mornings drinking coffee on the beach watching the sun rise and the dive boats go out. Days were spent snorkeling the numerous sites within an easy bike ride. We even snorkeled the reef in front of the house most afternoons and saw rays, barracudas, lobsters and great coral. We tended to cook dinner at home and then we’d visit The Hungry Iguana or Beach Nuts Bar in the evenings. At night, we’d sit under the stars and gaze in amazement.

The bed was very comfortable, the A/C worked great and having a dishwasher, washer and dryer were added pluses.

The house is very close to the sole market and liquor store and an easy walk or bike ride to other resorts.

The property manager, Marc, was a great resource on snorkeling sites and other suggestions for making our first visit to Little Cayman so special.

We will definitely stay here again when we return.

May 2018 Stay

  • 5 of 5

This was maybe our 10th stay. Love the place. Not for everyone, though. If you are looking for excitement, shopping and night life don't go to Little Cayman and don't stay at Blossom Village Cottage. But if you want to rest, snorkel, fish and enjoy an amazing island, then we highly recommend it.

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

This is the perfect location, walking distance to the airport, right behind the liquor store, car rental and grocery, a short walk from the only restaurant on island and a short bike ride from 3 of the diving facilities. If you're not diving every day (if you are, do an all inclusive), this is the place to stay. Nice patio overlooking a beautiful private beach, very nice kitchen and very clean house. Cute "grandma" décor. Only complaint is that it needs a full size dresser (there is a nice closet) and a larger vanity table in the master bath.

Hungry Iguana is a great place to eat and is a short walk. Be sure to call Pirate's Point and have dinner there. They will pick you up.

Owner's Response: Dear Jeff, Thank you for your review of Blossom Village Cottage. It is a great location on the South Shore and the beach and shady seagrape tree is magical! Having the grocery and liquor store only a short walk away is convenient, and the Hungry Iguana, Little Cayman Beach Resort, and PIrates Point are great spots for lunch or dinner! The owner put the shelves in the full sized closet to alleviate the need for a dresser, as they preferred having the desk and mirror in the Master Bedroom. We look forward to welcoming you back for another vacation in the near future. Kind regards, Juliet Cumber-Forget Business Manager Cayman Villas

The Oregon Five

Our second time staying at Blossom Village Cottages ~ even more enjoyable then the first. We had to think really hard to come up with something that could be improved upon...perhaps a drying line. But that required enormous thought, as the stay couldn't have been more delightful!!

Tranquil and Peaceful Beach Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Eventhough I have lived in Grand Cayman for a number of years this was my first visit to Little Cayman. As we are not divers we wanted to stay someone that did not have diving included. Blossom Village Cottage was perfect. Such traditional little cottages with one main cottage and a separate cottage with additional bedrooms giving each couple privacy when needed. All with stunning beach and views of the ocean. The cottages were well equipped if you wanted to cook, included beach towels and comfortable sun loungers. It was quiet, peaceful and walking distance to all the amenities including the Hungry Iguana restaurant, the airport and the grocery store. We even had our very own local iguana's pay a visit. Marc the property manager was very helpful and friendly and always on hand if needed. I highly recommend this as an alternative to the resorts. Your very own private beach house!

Car: recommended

Little Cayman is the smallest of the three islands – just one mile by ten and the highest point is only 40 feet in elevation. The undeveloped coastline is full of lagoons, mangrove forests, secluded beaches and salt ponds. With so few visitors until recent times and this lack of human impact has allowed the wildlife, reefs and marine life to flourish. With a resident population of less than 170 people, most of Little Cayman still remains uninhabited. Conversely, Little Cayman’s indigenous Rock Iguana population is estimated at 2,000. The iguana has the right of way and signs painted by local artists were erected in 1995 cautioning motorists to watch out for them along the main coastal road.

Little Cayman is one of the region’s most important birding areas and the 260-acre Booby Pond Reserve is a RAMSAR site (a wetland of international importance). The The Booby Pond Nature Reserve protects the largest colony of Red-footed Booby birds in the Caribbean – 5000 pairs. Best viewing times are the early morning, as the boobies leave the colony to fish far out at sea, and just before dusk as they are pursued by the waiting frigate birds. Spectacular chases result, as one or two frigate birds harass a booby until it releases part of its fish catch in order to escape.
