City of Duluth interim use permit # PL13-030.
Our home is located just over the dunes from 6 miles of sandy beach. It is only 6 blocks from the Duluth aerial lift bridge and Canal Park. Canal Park has restaurants, shopping, museums, and a boardwalk along the north shore of Lake Superior.
The house has 3 spacious bedrooms (3 queen beds and 2 twin beds); a game room with boardgames and a foos ball table and dart board; washer and dryer; central air-conditioning; and a large living room with wi-fi, TV, videos, and books.
Outside we provide a propane grill and picnic table.
We also provide 2 old 'cruiser' bicycles for your use.
Steve and I (Heather) have lived in Duluth for the past 20 and 15 years respectively. We call it home now and have a tough time seeing ourselves living elsewhere. Lake Superior has a draw and we've been mesmerized since moving here. We both love the water and spend a significant amount of our free time stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Both of us have caught a muskie out of our canoe a stone's throw away from our house on Minnesota Point. We love this area and look forward to sharing our home with you.
Heather Pitschka purchased this house in 2012
It had everything that we were told that it would have, was in short walking distance to the beach and Canal Park. We had a great time and would stay here again when in Duluth.
Super convenient location near downtown and Canal St. Lots of room to spread out right next to the water
STELLAR Hostess! Cozy layout & Fireplace! HUGE main floor bedroom. Comfy camping chairs 😊?
The location of this property is perfect! We enjoyed being able to walk out to the beach (even in the winter) yet close to town, also. Our stay felt very homey.
This home has ample space to accommodate a large family or group. We comfortably slept 3 adults and 3 children, and could have slept an additional person in two of the beds. Two of the rooms have enough space to add a blow up mattress.
The kitchen and large dining table make eating in easy. There is also a large living room which proved to be a great gathering space. The house is uncluttered and pleasantly decorated with art and photos depicting the surrounding area. The addition of board games and books was a big hit. I would definitely rent here again.
We loved our stay. There was plenty of room for our two families. Large dining area and living room. The bedrooms are large and we had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Heather replied to all questions quickly and I was very comfortable asking her anything.
