The lodge is located about 10 minutes from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, about 20 minutes from Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, and about 30 minutes from Snowshoe Ski Resort. The Scenic Highway is fairly close also. The property adjoins the 1,000,000 acre Monongahela National Forest. The lodge is decorated with a rustic feel and can accomodate groups as large as fourteen with four private bedrooms, the bunk room which sleeps six as well as three baths. The 2600 square foot lodge features two observation decks. The 1200 square foot entertainment deck is perfect for a cookout and is equipped with a stainless gas grill and picnic table. You can spend hours relaxing in the swings on the covered front porch which spans the length of the lodge. You might even catch a glimpse of some of the many deer that roam the area. The Club House out back is a great place for the kids to hang out with a ping pong table, air hockey and foosball table. There's also a fire pit outside for night time gatherings to roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories. The lodge has two TV's and two DVD players. It has a fully equipped kitchen with electric range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and plenty of dinnerware and cooking utensils. There's also a washer and dryer located downstairs.
