The guest house is clean and tidy and nicely decorated with lovely little nooks for a quiet glass of wine or a good read and also equipped with a small office area. There is a patio for sitting outside on a summer evening.
Wildlife and nature abound on this property. Watch the deer, rabbits, eagles and native birds and listen to the sounds of seals, and the frogs in the nearby pond as you fall asleep...... or just close the window for silence.
We will consider allowing a dog to stay on a case by case basis.
Whidbey Island is just a 15 minute ferry-ride from the mainland in Mukilteo. It is close to the city of Seattle and Vancouver but very rural and quiet. Nearby you will find beaches, biking and hiking trails, golf courses and pleasant seaside towns. Most of all you will find peaceful tranquility.
We are located just 8 miles from Langley with its shops, restaurants, theaters, music and public beaches. Langley has a pleasant downtown with great walking streets for strolling.
We are just 6 miles from Freeland where you will find a more-than-adequate shopping center for all your daily needs and also Double Bluff beach, a lovely and seemingly endless, dog friendly beach.
Bayview is also just 6 miles away with restaurants, a bicycle shop and a garden nursery as well as a summer-long Saturday farmers market.
To the North is Greenbank farm with café, wine shop, and cheese shop in a beautiful wetlands setting. And, Coupeville is another lovely seaside town shops, restaurants and is the home of the famous Penn Cove mussels. Near Coupeville is the historic Ebeys Landing and the Keystone ferry where you can access Port Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula.
Deception Pass is on the north end of the Island and a truly spectacular place to visit with camping, beaches and state park. If you travel over the bridge at Deception Pass which connects Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands you are just 10 minutes from Anacortes: a quaint seaside town with a busy and attractive harbor, antique stores and restaurants.
