About this property

Beautiful, Private," Clean," Spacious, No stairs!!

Scammers plz keep looking, no time for you today!!! This home has no wall-to-wall carpet, all floors are hardwood or engineered flooring which yields a very clean home. This home has 4 bedrooms, 1 king bedroom, 2 queen bedrooms, 1 room with twin beds, and a queen size leather sofa in the family room. We have tried to give the home a garden effect with live flowers, magazines, books, and interesting items to ponder about and discuss. The living room is designated as the quiet room to relax read, or meditate. Each bedroom has its own personality, the master bedroom is a King bed,
bedroom 2 is called the Butterfly room because butterflies perch over the headboard. Recently added are two twin beds for children. A large family den for TV games, the family room is wonderful because there is a Queen size leather sleeper and a Council Craftsman dining for 8. The family room takes you to the patio, where crickets and frogs will sing throughout the night. The back yard is woods so privacy is no problem here. There is an inaccessible creek in the backyard and you can hear the movement of the water after rainfall. Crepe Myrtle trees are in front and the back host 6' tall Cannon Lillies, elephant ears and other flowers. Two full baths and one half so no one should ever be waiting to see how pretty or handsome they are.
All towels and linens are washed and sanitized after each visit, #5 L...... Ct is waiting on guests from around the world. The furniture market comes twice a year, the Aquatic Center greets guests from around the world, marriages, birthday parties, small family reunions, anniversaries, you name it, this home is charming. Please be mindful of high heel shoes ladies, they can ruin a hardwood floor. The neighbors are very laid back everyone keeps to themselves. Very loud parties would be a no-no, so please respect the neighborhood it is one of privacy and trust. The first half of the year, it was on the market and when we did not receive the offer we felt the home was worth, we decided to share the home with guests from around the world. All on one floor 1,900 sq. ft. handicap accessible, ceramic top stove, all new Samsung appliances. Two car detached garage, very quiet neighborhood, kids can play in the cul-de-sac. OH, did we mention pet friendly, please bring doggie and pay a $75 pet fee for each pet per visit.
For your comfort a new HVAC has been installed, walls freshly painted. How-to books, health books, etc. books, and magazines are there for your enjoyment. Laundry room has washer/dryer, iron and board, Clorox, etc. The closets contains hangers waiting for you, the kitchen cabinets are full of whatever we hope you might need. Toys can be found in the twin bedroom, Barbie, legos, etc. Greensboro is a beautiful clean city with five colleges, something for tiny tots and the grown folks as well. Churches of all kinds are abundant, health clubs, dance clubs, just about anything, you can find it in Greensboro. Crime is low with a population of less than 400,000 one could call it a safe place to live. Big Samsung Smart TVs 3 of them, are located in Home for your enjoyment. Our Home is equipped with fast internet so you will not miss anything in the world. The primary advantage to stay here is because it is cleaned " thoroughly" after each visit and before each visit. Towels and sheets are not only washed but sanitized after each visit. The plush white towels are truly luxurious, they are soft, and bright, and sanitized after each visit. When linens and towels are dated they are replaced with new ones. No stains or hairs you should find in this lovely home. The reviews, say the beds are excellent, and I hope you will feel the same way. Lastly, sitting on the deck you can watch humming birds eat nectar from the hummingbird stand, or watch other birds bathe in the backyard bird bathe. I am a retired senior citizen that hates soaps and loves pleasing people so please come and stay at Grannie Bert's Place I promise you will love it. Oh yea, the home is named after my Mom, her name was Roberta and her grandkids call her "Grannie Bert", Mom was quite a character and we miss her very much, she is smiling at me saying there you go again doing something else!!

Iris's Home
We had a terrific stay. The house had everything we needed. My wife fell in love with the new oven and all of the appliances/TV's worked great. The sheets and towels were super soft and smelled so good. We will be coming to Greensboro to visit family a few times a year and we hope that Iris will have us!

Great house, great stay
We had a wonderful stay in this home. Irish was very easy to communicate, we had no trouble. House is well equipped, kitchen had everything we needed. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. We had great weather and loved enjoying our morning coffee on the back porch. Neighborhood is nice and quiet, super close to the friendly center! Would recommend to anyone visit with a big groyp!

Nice quiet neighborhood
This house was exactly as advertized. Very clean. It is in a quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac so there is no street traffic. Fairly dated but I imagine at one point in time this was the neighborhood to be in. It met our needs perfectly.

Clean and convenient
We rented this house as a base for family activities prior to a weekend wedding. It was perfect for our needs, family of 4, one 5 year old, and 2 dogs. We didn't have the opportunity to cook, but the kitchen is fully equipped. We spent every morning on the deck, counting how many species of bird we could hear. The location is convenient to restaurants and stores. Our pets enjoyed the fully fenced yard. This was the first time in a long time we slept well in a rental house, on comfy beds. Thank you Irish for opening your home.

great weekend
Irish's place worked out wonderfully. It was close to HPU, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem. There was plenty of room and we could bring our Golden Retriever, which was a huge plus! Very clean, good communication with owner - we recommend it.

About the host

Your host

Host profile image
I have been in real estate for 40 years. I love to fix up houses and make them pretty, first and foremost I love all kinds of people and dogs. I love traveling and have been to Aruba, Bermuda, Cuba, England, France, Canada, Honduras, St. Croix, Belize, Trinidad, Tobago, St. Thomas, Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos, just to name a few. I take hosting seriously, and I am compulsive about the home is clean and comfortable. I strongly believe in recycling, and yes I do check to see if you recycle. I have no problem putting on my gloves and will rearrange your leftovers for the future. People like to party and so do I, but please, please, please, recycle it in the future for this planet, plus it makes me feel better to know I have done my part for preserving this beautiful WORLD!!

Why they chose this property

I inherited this home with a mortgage and fell in love with it. A wonderful plus is the home is all on one level, with no stairs to climb. A very clean and healthy home since there are no dust mites on the carpet because there is no wall-to-wall carpet! A large deck in the backyard with flowers recently added a Nags Head Hammock.
A leather sleeper queen sofa is in the family room.
I am a retired supervisor from UPS, and I learned anything you do, do it right. I manage and clean the home myself, inspection is done after each guest departs and before a new guest arrives. Competition is fierce, and my home is not perfect, but I feel the neighborhood, and the home is of real value. In conclusion, why this property?
I take hosting very seriously, EVERYONE has said the property was clean, I also want the home safe. Please come and bring your potty-trained doggie and remember to pay the $75 per pet fee per stay.

What makes this property unique

This home is located in an area called Guilford College, a Quaker college. A quaint small college area with shops and restaurants. Historic maple and oak trees adorn the lovely campus. Recently added is a 450 lb weight limit
'Nags Head' hammock in the back yard for your R/R. Life is pretty stressful
so while you are here, I want to make sure you are comfortable and happy with your stay. Recently babies have stayed, so I decided to invest in a pack n
play high chair and vibrating chiming baby rocker. I am constantly improving and making changes, it is pretty competitive out here, so nice small touches I pray will go a long way into deciding which home you will book.
I must mention in the past communication with guests have been
perfect, but I have noticed after failed swim meets, or lost golf tournaments, communication went south, and complaints set in.
SO, as soon as you have unpacked and had a chance to check the place over if you notice anything not right please get with me ASAP when you are about to leave and all your joy as left because situations did not go your way, I am not the one to get the brunt of your frustration. My responsibility is to offer a very very clean and comfortable home, I take my responsibility seriously, and sometimes I pray, how, I can be a better HOST!
