The spacious two storey condo is a stylish heritage conversion perfectly located in the heart of old-town Victoria. What sets this meticulously restored building apart is that it meets modern building requirements, yet preserving one of Victoria’s heritage treasures, the famous 126 year old Victoria hotel. Originally built in 1892 as a first class hotel designed by architect Thomas Hooper, it is now named Vogue and is the perfect blend of modern facilities with the romance and magic of old-world design.

Located at one of the hippest intersections in the city's commercial core, the rows of storefront and upper storey windows of this building provides an intermediate connection between the historic Old Town and Chinatown.

The private, beautifully landscaped, 800 sq ft roof terrace and garden overlooks the popular intersection of Government and Johnston streets. This gem is truly one of a kind!

Its unique heritage features are exquisitely blended with all the modern comforts.

About Graham Weeks and Wendy Fynn

While I never openly solicited the purchase of this property I expressed that if I ever was to move to a property of this type this would be the one – high ceilings, character and best of all an open patio with a gas fire pit. Close to the action yet incredibly peaceful. I mentioned lately that if Carole and Danny were to ever sell this property I would purchase same. And so the torch passes!

Wendy and I live in Cordova Bay, Victoria in a beautiful property we are renovating. We love the idea of sharing the Victoria experience with people from all over the world. We both love travelling but treasure the time we spend in Victoria. We would be pleased to help you make your stay a full one.

Wendy was born in Montreal moved to Dryden, Ontario before moving out west. She is a majority owner of business that operates throughout North America and spends five weeks of her summer in a family cottage at Blue Lake, Northwestern Ontario. Like Carole and Danny our properties reflect who we are. Wendy has three adult children, two of whom live in Victoria.

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, moved to Lethbridge, and then returned to Edmonton where I practiced law in a firm I founded. In 1993 I moved to Salem, Oregon to earn my MBA and Dispute Resolution Certificate. I founded a software company during the internet boom. I became a dual citizen (Canada/US) and then returned to Victoria 2010 where I practice law and help in the operation of Wendy’s company. I have two adult children both of whom live in Oregon.

We invite you to enjoy this property and explore beautiful Victoria. When I first moved here I was skeptical of Victoria’s renowned beauty and restful pace. I am now a true advocate for the culture and activities in the area.

Thanks to Carole, who is a photographer and artist, and Danny who loves polo, entertaining and relaxing Jamaican style for designing this beautiful place which will leave you with memories for years.

Wendy and I are good friends of the previous owners. We often visited Carole and Danny when they were in Victoria. I also was a guest of Carole and Danny in Jamaica. What wonderful people!

Wendy and I love both the calm of the ocean and the dynamic downtown. The penthouse reflects the ideal location & heritage value in the heart of Old Town, within walking distance of all the great spots.

What makes this condo unique

Our distinctive 1273 sq ft unit is located on the top floor of a dominant three storey heritage building in one of the most beautiful cities in the World.

The 800 sq ft private roof terrace and garden with its wooden planters, flower pots and 'camp fire style' natural gas heater, overlooks the intersection of Johnson and Government streets, one of the busiest intersections in the city's commercial core.

The 13 ft ceilings, original red brick interior walls and huge 18” by 12” douglas fir (original) beams make it very special.

After all the fees & everything we ended up paying just over $260 per night which at first I thought was a bit high but for what you get it's more than reasonable. The suite is big, beautiful, clean, fully stocked kitchen (teas, coffee, condiments, even some grains). We loved the roof top patio/fire pit & was the main reason we booked as our son wanted to roast marshmallows, which we did. We had our 5 & 2yr old with us, we found the suite fairly baby safe, even had a high chair. A playpen & baby gate would make it completely baby friendly but for us it suited our needs for our stay. The location is amazing, secure building, underground parking, beautiful view. The beds were super comfy, 4 TV's throughout, even had some weights upstairs in solarium. Also the caretakers were very friendly/helpful, we were checked in & out accordingly & clear instructions/information were in the suite. Overall my expectations were met & exceeded.

Fantastic place to stay for our visit to Victoria!!

The apartment itself is beautiful with its high ceilings, brick walls and wooden beams - lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals and the upstairs patio was a great place for an afternoon beverage. It was fabulous!!

great apartment for visiting Victoria

we loved this place...right downtown in all the action and above my favourite store in Vic...MEC...easy to walk everywhere for the day and come back for a relaxing rest and cocktail on the roof top garden overlooking downtown...great spaces inside and nicely appointed...we will be back.

Jewish Congregation Emanuel Temple, is the oldest surviving synagogue in Canada, a renown national historic site built in 1863 and located just 2 blocks from our condo at the corner of Blanchard and Pandora.

Church of Our Lord, built in 1876 is the oldest church building in Victoria and one of the finest examples of carpenter gothic style in BC. Designated a federal and provincial heritage site.
