About this property

Come Enjoy! Sauna, Pool Table, Heated Garage, Firepit, Snowmobile Trails+Parking

You'll begin creating memories you'll want for a lifetime in this 4 level oasis, spacious enough to mingle with your friends and family, or disappear from them as needed 😉. This country chic 5 bedroom ranch-style farmhouse sleeps 12 and includes: 1 brand new king size bed (as of 12-12-2022), 2 queen beds, 1 brand new full size bed (as of 12-12-2022), 2 twin beds (1 brand new as of 1-18-2023 and the other brand new as of 7-20-2023), 1 pull out sofa bed (in the living room), and 1 full size quite comfy futon. There are 2 spacious bathrooms. The bathroom upstairs encumbers a full closet for everyone's products, a full bathtub / shower combo, recessed lighting and above sink vanity lights. The downstairs bathroom draws waves with its nautical theme, vintage charm, stand-up shower and extra shelving for storing your essentials. The sauna is custom built right off of the attached garage. It has a changing room attached, with a shower and lower bucket faucet all inside of it. Quite a great place to meditate! Kitchen appliances are stainless steel. There is a beauty salon area (pre-booking available with a professional hairdresser for large groups). The brand-new washer and a dryer are available to use for your convenience, along with detergent & dryer sheets. Please note that the home uses well water, so improper laundering use may hinder results. The dining room table seats 6 and the kitchen table seats 4. All of the rooms are also very soundproof which is another bonus for people in separate areas of the house doing completely different activities.

We do our best to make sure the house is filled with everything you may need for your daily living, including all general cookware (i.e. pots, pans, spatulas, dishes, utensils), Crock-Pot, regular coffee pot, a Kuerig, tea kettle, baking sheets, muffin pans, spices, dish soap, paper towel, et cetera. Please note that we cannot always guarantee these items, so please ask ahead if you will need a specific item. In the restrooms we provide all linens such as: bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, as well as toilet paper, hand soap, a hair dryer, and then some. In case you forget yours - we also strive to consistently stock body wash, hair towels, shower caps, cotton balls, cotton pads, and even Q-tips! We truly want you to have the best experience possible at the ranch, as memories usually aren't made making store runs.

Basic amenities include: fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kuerig, toasters, washer and dryer, etc.

The back and front yards are both large and beautiful, making it perfect for socializing. In the backyard, you will find a wood-barrel-fireplace on the patio to keep warmth nearby when those chilly days arrive. You can also kick back, grab a drink, a pal, and a seat around the in-ground fire pit, which is stocked with wood for your sensual pleasures.

Back inside, in the game room you will find a pool table and numerous other games. You will find a 65" flatscreen TV in the living room, a 38" tv in the blue Bedroom, and a 48" TV in the master bedroom. In the heated garage (connected to the game room) you will find a foosball table, a ping pong table, and a dry bar.

The parking area is large and can easily accommodate large vehicles as well as a number of trailers and RV's. It is easy to find, located right off of US HWY 41 in a beautiful country setting. It's a 15-minute drive to Marquette, a 40-minute drive to Munising and one hour to Escanaba.

We do our best to accommodate all of the items in this home for your comfort and pleasure, however from time to time - items are broken. We appreciate knowing when they are, so we have time to replace them for the next guest's arrival. Please respect this leniency. Also, we cannot promise that each and every item listed will be available for each and every stay, but we can promise that we have and will continue to always do everything we can to keep up with replacements and the changes needed to accommodate your stay to the closest representation humanly possible. Lastly, please note this is a very large ranch-style home, in the country and thus it is more shabby-chic/vintage-modern/farmhouse than it is Taj Mahal! Please book according to your preference.

There are plenty of ATV and snowmobile trails nearby, which would likely not be so accessible if the ranch was not located on a main highway. There are also plenty of waterfalls nearby to which would easily make a full day of simply touring the waterfalls. It truly is a country vacation getaway! So come on over, drop your bags and relax at the Hill Crest Ranch!

Second stay, and we will be back!
My family loves this house. The location is convenient. The house is so comfortable. And the sauna, pool table, ping pong, and foosball make it such an enjoyable place for everyone to stay. We have stayed here twice now, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Great spot for that Greywalls golf getaway
Overall, this property has everything you need for a large group to have a comfortable stay. I brought up a group of 8 guys ranging in age of 42-74. All of us were able to have our own bed and we slept very comfortable. The living space in the home was awesome. We tended to be in the bar area playing pool or the kitchen area playing poker. All of the guys agreed that this was a nice find for our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone with a larger group coming to the area. Greywalls is a beast by the way.

Absolutely wonderful!
The home was well organized, clean, and fun! Plenty of games and things to do. Also, the book with recommendations for places to go was extremely helpful.

Vacation before school
The VBRO pic is now removed showing a game room with 3 games being a BIG reason we rented with teenagers and 2 of their high school friends as a trade off being a min of 1 1/2 hours away from our planned daily destinations. We looked to book fun things to keep teens occupied in the evenings when we returned. There is nothing in that location near by. Of the 3 games that were pictured in that room only 1 was their -ping pong. I contacted the property manager and the NEXT day another game was brought in. We were told the air hockey is broke. It never came. Most of the bedroom windows were sealed shut and couldn’t be opened, air conditioning is a wall unit not in bedrooms. The day we swam in Lake Superior it dropped to low 60s that evening and the house thermostat is locked shut! I’m not sure this is legal. The property manager said the owner would come as allegedly he lives close by but then said he wasn’t coming. He owns and operates a landscape business right next door with a business drive through the property fortunately we didn’t see that drive being used during our stay. The house is on a busy highway, noisy trucks all night and scary for us as pet owners even using harness and leashes. Had I know these circumstances we would have booked elsewhere.

Why they chose this property

Nice, heated, two car garage is perfect for family reunions or group parties, motorcycle storage, even ride snowmobiles from the ranch to hit the local trails. Owner is nearby to give you any directions you need. Great backyard for bonfires and grill outs. Pull out sofa in living room, also ample room for blow up mattresses.

What makes this property unique

Pool table, ping pong, foosball, large group sauna. We also supply a dozen fresh eggs from our farm. Kuerig and regular coffee pot with a backup in pantry. The owner lives on some property nearby, so if you need anything - he's usually just a phone call away!
