Seriously simple, ski, eat, drink, hot tub, ski!!

Self-Contained unit.

Right across from the Fairmont Chateau Whistler at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. This 2 bedroom/2 full bathroom condo overlooks the pool and hot tub, far enough over that it is quiet. There is a pullout in the livingroom. You do not need a car to stay at this location as everything is within walking distance. In the building there is a spa, cold beer and wine shop and restaurants. There is also a salt-water pool and hot tub to enjoy after a day on the slopes. There is a secure place for your bikes. We have upgraded this unit with Supreme beds and new furniture. There is a King bed in the Master and a Queen in the 2nd bedroom. They are both premium firm pocket coil mattresses-hopefully you enjoy a great nice sleep. We put blackout blinds in both bedrooms for the perfect night sleep. Ready for the next day!!

This unit does not provide daily housekeeping services. We do provide mid-stay clean that will be set up with the cleaning company that maintains this unit in between stays.

We are a local family that have been in Whistler since 1999. I am a Canadian, born in Ontario. I came to Whistler for a weekend and quickly moved here the following year. With the desire to learn to mountain bike and ski, Whistler has been my home for many years and I enjoy every minute of it. My husband is a Snowboard Cross Coach who travels the world with his team. He was born in New Zealand and has been a part of the Snowsports industry for his whole life. I am currently studying Acupressure with the goal of creating a lifestyle business. We have 2 children who are very active in the lifestyle Whistler has to offer.

We bought this property as we love the quiet location and it's access to the Wizard Chair, which is the least busiest chair throughout the season. The quick access up Blackcomb Mountain and all of the amenities within minutes is why this property is the best. We also like the fact that it has a salt water pool and the building is well maintained and the front desk is very helpful.

This building is at the base of the Blackcomb mountain. It will take about 2 min to get to the Wizard Chair and all the mountain amenities. This location is quieter then Whistler Village and the chair is easier to load, especially busier times of the year. There is storage for skis and bikes in the building.

Great appartment in WHISTLER’s upper village

My family had a great stay at this appartment in WHISTLER’s upper village for the last week of the snow season! The appartment was as shown in the pictures and clean. The beds are super comfy and kitchen well appointed with everything you need. The front desk staff at Glacier Lodge were great. We all loved the pool & hot tubs. The upper village has great food options right out the door and the Sunday farmers market in the upper village was well worth a look. We had a few hot days with our stay in May so the appartment was quite warm in the afternoons but a fan is provided. Overall a great stay in Whistler.

Great location, great beds (if you like firm mattresses), arising issues managed promptly

Stayed for 2 weeks; 2 adult couples. Positives included:

- beds very comfortable, if you like firm

- nice big lounge area and comfortable couch

- kitchen reasonably well equipped

- security access convenient

- location of building 5 min walk to mountain base (past 2 good coffee shops)

- location is nice and quiet, but still nearby to everything

- 10 min max walk to village proper

- heating system effective

- spa outside good

- good water pressure in showers

- owner was very responsive to an issue that arose

- great ski drop off and pick up service

- front counter service generally very helpful

- good bottle shop on ground floor

- grocery store across the road (although quite expensive)


- Long walk within building from room to lifts to get to building exit, which is hard in ski boots!

- Cleaning standards sub-par on arrival. As noted, owner immediately addressed this issue to our satisfaction (we assume cleaners are contracted and owner was only aware of problem when we notified her)

- Could only check in from 4pm and still had to check out early in the day - earlier check in would have been better

- Car parking expensive (but pretty standard for Whistler, I think)

- Lighting was lower than desired - possible attempt at mood lighting in bedrooms, but couldn't see too well

- Second bedroom disconnected from second bathroom, so couple staying in second bedroom had to walk through lounge area to get to it

Overall, we would definitely come back again. It was appropriately priced for what it was and we were happy with the owner's management of our stay. Thanks!

Loved our 2 weeks i Whistler

We stayed at unit 249 at the Glacier Lodge for 2 weeks for a ski trip with another couple. The unit had everything we needed and any issue was addressed quickly by the owner. It's a short easy walk to the lift. I would stay here again if we visit.
