About Cathy Collins

Cathy and Jeff Collins have owned property in Eureka Springs for years and have remodeled three cottages within the Historic District. Their cottages have been on several home and garden tours and the recent restoration of Rose Cottage will no doubt be just as popular. Their cottage on Lookout Circle was recently featured in 'Country Sampler' magazine.

Why Cathy Collins chose Eureka Springs West

Rose Cottage has been featured in national publications including 'Southern Living' and 'Elle Decor' magazines and is one of Eureka's most beloved cottages. It was photographed for the cover of Mary Emmerling's book 'American Country Cottages.' Since 1983, Rose Cottage has operated as nightly tourist lodging and has recently undergone an extensive restoration. It has also been featured in Country Living and Cottage Style Magazines. It has been distinguished as one of the 15 most beautiful cottages in the USA!

What makes this cottage unique

Rose Cottage is located on a secluded street overlooking downtown Eureka Springs and borders Harding Springs Park, one of Eureka's most beautiful natural springs. You'll enjoy relaxing on the back porch and watching a variety of songbirds, squirrels and whitetail deer. A Historic Walking Trail provides a quick walk to downtown shopping and dining. There are several nearby spas.

Exceeded expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect. Every detail was spot on. The simplicity and elegance is superb. The location was exactly what we wanted- a brisk and scenic walk to all the restaurants, shops, and music venues! We will definitely be back to Eureka Springs and this is the only place we plan to stay!

Beautiful cottage in town

  • 4 of 5

Cottage well organized & beautifully decorated. Bed super comfortable but it got real cold. Heater ran 24/7 windows & doors drafty. I understand that’s a rule in historic district. Found car hard to backup into pathway almost got stuck! . Frequent hikers pass cottage & look in windows. Construction on house below at 9am on weekends! Loved the view from porch with the statue.

Owner's Response: The cottage is located in a very private setting, yet it is 5 minutes from downtown. There is a walking path. All windows facing the path have blinds, drapes and curtains. We have installed a new central air conditioning and heating system. We provide snugly throws, extra blankets or fans for the comfort of our guests. To leave Rose Cottage it is easiest to pull forward on the street past our garage and back in to that driveway. You can then drive forward out to the street. Not a problem.

Cute Cottage - amazing location

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is adorable and you can't beat the location as far as vicinity to everything!

things you should know, though:

1. Not really a kitchen - we had thought we were going to get up and cook breakfast, but there's just a toaster and microwave. Still loved the cottage, though, just know you can't really cook in it.

2. We had never been to Eureka Springs, so we didn't know what to expect and we were definitely not expecting all the houses to be on top of each other. Though this one is nestled back off the street, there was lots of barking dog noises and some construction (a guy was building a garage back behind us). Didn't ruin the trip, just not what we were expecting.

3. Speaking of being back off the road, our large SUV was a bit difficult to maneuver into the drive and it took some talent to get turned around and out of the drive as well.

4. There is a great walking path that takes you right to the historic town area - it is amazing! But other's use the path as well, so just be careful about changing near the bed ;)

All-in-all - we loved the cottage and it's location - we would definitely recommend it!

Gorgeous cozy little cottage in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Best place we've stayed in Eureka yet! Such a cute and cozy little cottage. Path right out front leads to you down to town. Great view of Christ of The Ozarks of back deck. Take a smaller car if you can though there is a very sharp and narrow turn going into the driveway down to the cottage. Great little gem of a cabin!

Beautiful and peaceful.

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely beautiful. My husband was in awe of the beautiful wood work throughout Rose Cottage. It is a peaceful setting and my daughter and her boyfriend read on the beautiful wrap around porch while drinking coffee and/or wine. It is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at in Eureka Springs. It does have one curve in the driveway that is difficult to manage with a huge pickup but other than that it was perfect.
