About Loran and Dana Kraljevski

We are a family of seven, with extended family in three states, and we have a very very busy lifestyle. We look forward to getting away and simplifying our lives, even for just a short time on extended weekends. Hiking, searching for old relics or interesting rocks, and taking in the sights recharges us to tackle our routines back home.

Loran and Dana Kraljevski purchased this house in 2006

Why Loran and Dana Kraljevski chose Cedar Mountain Heights

We bought this property because we fell in love with the wide open spaces of northern Arizona, the wonders of the Grand Canyon and other points of interest, and the old-fashioned charm of Williams and historic Route 66.

What makes this house unique

We built the home to capture the fantastic westward sunset views and provide a place for family and friends to comfortably gather together. This is also a place where you can escape the rigors of daily routines and enjoy raw beauty, soak in the fantastic views, and is centrally located for visits to the popular spots in the area (historic Route 66 in Williams, the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona and more).

Although all of the rooms are large, we wanted to make the home feel cozy, so we added custom rustic touches throughout the house. Our favorite features in the living area are the stone fireplace, built-in bookcase, and reclaimed wood accents.

To bring character to the modern kitchen, we added a custom-built stove hood, reclaimed light fixtures, and a 10' long antique oak table reclaimed from an old church that we now use as an island for cooking preparation or just simply to gather around.

We added an old-fashioned reclaimed claw foot tub into the guest bathroom, and decorated with a touch of old country French.

The master bedroom includes a fireplace accented with reclaimed tile and wood. Wood moldings, wood windows, solid wood doors, and wood floors throughout the house add to the cozy charm that we wanted to achieve.

There are fireplaces in the living and master bedroom to make it cozy during winter months and a fire pit outside on the lower patio to gather around and star gaze (outdoor fire restrictions may apply during dry season).

Wonderful home, amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for six nights during spring break with our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. We had a wonderful time! Williams is a great place to call home for a Grand Canyon vacation. And this house is just about a 15 minute drive from downtown Williams, and a little over an hour to the South Rim. The family room has a huge sectional and a recliner, and a couple of side chairs, so there's plenty of room for large groups to lounge. The master bedroom is beautiful. The bed was comfortable, and every morning I could see the beautiful view from the back deck as I woke up. The kitchen was well-appointed, with an abundance of paper products and cooking amenities. We loved coming home every day after our adventures. My only regret is that I couldn't spend more time out on the deck because it was too cold outside, but the sunsets out the back windows were surreal - a painted sky. Other reviews talked about the rough road to the house. We didn't mind it at all. Our Waze app took us straight to the house every time. I teared up a little as I shut the front door for the last time. I will always remember our stay at Loran and Dana's home with great fondness.

Nice spacious home in great location to visit Grand Canyon.

  • 5 of 5

This spacious home is great for families as a quiet retreat and within an hour drive of Grand Canyon. The last few miles to get there are on an unpaved, bumpy road but we followed directions carefully and got there without getting lost! Owners are very receptive to any needs you have. There is a lovely view of sunset off the deck!

Well done

The property is beautiful. The sunsets were stunning. The house is in very good condition. It is a little way off the main road but worth the drive. The homeowners were responsive when we needed a recommendation. Great house in a beautiful location.

Loved it!

What a great place! If we're ever in the area again, this is where we're staying. Great communication with the owners, spacious, clean and wonderful. Close to Williams, which is an adorable town! House is in an out of the way location, but gorgeous! Highly recommend!

Great house for a big family

  • 4 of 5

We were 8 adults and 3 children and we had a wonderful time. The road to get there is not perfect, but its acceptable. We only wished it had snow.

This hidden gem is situated on 6 acres in the Northern Arizona High Country near Williams, AZ, off of highway 64 (the road to the Grand Canyon). When you turn off highway 64, you enter onto a rural gravel road and for the next 1.5 mile drive to our home, you might see elk, deer, free range horses, javalina, coyotes, jack rabbits, and other wildlife that remind you that you're in the beautiful Arizona high country and are surrounded by nature.

When you approach our home on the hill, you will be able to see for miles across the westward horizon. Then step inside the home to over 2,600 square feet of rustic luxury.

Our home is centrally located to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and Williams. Williams is located about 20 minutes away on the famous route 66 and has a variety of diners, restaurants and shops. Williams is also the home of Bearizona, the Deer Farm, and the Grand Canyon railway station

The Grand Canyon Railway offers the classic steam train to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, the Pumpkin Patch train in October, and Polar Express in the winter. The south rim of the Grand Canyon is only 40 miles north on highway 64. Flagstaff, home of Northern Arizona University, is 25 miles East. Also nearby is Sedona with red rock scenery and hiking trails. And the Snow Bowl ski resort is nearby for winter snow skiing.

If you want to venture further, you can visit the old mining town of Jerome, or the historical town of Prescott. Or, if you would prefer to stay close to home, you can fish and canoe on Kaibob Lake just 15 minutes from the property, hike in the surrounding area, and view sunsets and star-filled nights off the expansive deck.
