This wonderful waterfront villa is situated on a cul-de-sac in the residential section of Fort Lauderdale, only 5 minutes from the famous Fort Lauderdale beach. Walk to the Galleria Mall, beach, restaurants and shops. The home is also near all the main attractions such as art galleries, museums, and just across from the Intracoastal Waterway and Hugh Tylor Birch State Park, an oasis of tropical hammocks. Villa Riverside, with 6 Bedrooms / 5 Baths (sleeps up to 12) is a wonderful destination for individuals and families in search of a relaxing getaway. This home away from home has everything you’ll need for an amazing family vacation. Located in a luxury neighborhood and a great place to take quiet walks after dinner. Private fenced in backyard and pool for your vacation leisure in the tropical paradise of sunny South Florida.

Ground Floor:
Upon entering Villa Riverside, you are greeted by a spacious foyer entryway revealing, a spectacular open floor plan featuring direct, unobstructed, view of the canal, the large outdoor area with pool. A perfect place for outdoor dining and entertaining. Floor to ceiling windows in the living room let in the light and frame the views of the water, and brings in the wonderful tropical sunlight of South Florida. The open formal dining area offers seating for Twelve (12) with pool and water view. The living room is equipped with sofas and a Flat Screen TV perfectly suitable for enjoying assorted films and sporting events - streaming only. As an extra add-on, a billiard table for family fun in located in the same area. Natural light creates a soft glow highlighting at all hours of the day in this large open area.

Kitchen:
The large open kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need while on vacation and only requires you to bring food, beverages and condiments. Wrap around granite counter-tops are perfect for bar seating. There is plenty of space to cook for your family and friends.

Bedrooms:
Ground Floor Master Bedroom is equipped with 1 King Bed, Full size bathroom with walk-in shower, Flat Screen TV, glass doors to the outdoor heated pool and lounge area, and view of pool and waterway.
Additional Bedrooms on ground floor; one is furnished with King Size Bed and 2nd offer a Queen Size bed, overlooking the pool area and private bathroom with shower.
Two bedrooms are located a few steps away. Both equipped with 2 Twin Beds with additional pull-out beds and Flat Screen TV’s. One has a private bathroom with shower, and an additional bathroom with shower is located in the hallway.
Second Floor offer the Master Suite with 1 King Bed and TV with ensuite bathroom with bath tub and separate walk-in shower.

Pool and Outdoor Area:
Villa Riverside’s Private Pool & Lounge Area is the perfect place to spend time with family and friends. Cozy Tiki Hut for outdoor dining. Poolside chaise lounge chairs overlooking the waterway. The area is the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

I was slightly hesitant due to some of the reviews on this site (which are oddly worse than on other sites), but the house worked well for our purposes (6 40 something friends hanging out for the weekend). It was very clean. The timeliness of the host’s communication was excellent. Some small things were a little worn out (the pool table and some small dents in the fridge), and there was a water boiling effect due to some construction down the street, which probably should have been disclosed before we got there, but other than that, it was a very nice spot. We spent most of our time outside by the pool and canal, which was great. We really enjoyed an afternoon at the Bonnet House gardens, which is maybe a mile away by the beach. Nice Publix and other stores very close. Would not hesitate to rent again.

The rental was an amazing experience. The house was beautiful, very clean and sanitized! We enjoyed the pool and hanging under the cabana! The property management was easy to communicate with. They very politely explained the rules. Location was awesome for people looking for good restaurants and bars/clubs. Will definitely be wanting to rent the property again. It had everything you needed. 10/10

Thursday, April 15th proved to be the beginning of a tumultuous five days at this property. The property representative responsible for the rental during our time, was on site upon check-in. I was welcomed to the idiosyncrasies of the property. PIease take head to the reviews, they are not exaggerated. The listing was misleading. Rooms visually through the listing were expected one way, but upon check in to the property were different. The cleanliness of property was despicable considering the $450 fee for cleaning was certainly not used prior to my visit. The property is beautiful, but needs maintenance & upkeep. This property is not in compliance with AHLA Safe Stay & Vacation rental association. We needed to purchase Combat Gold roach and bug traps just to tolerate the infestation of cockroaches and gnats. There were additional issues related to the ice machine, which was unavailable for use- substitutions were provided in place of not being able to generate ice. There was leakage from the pipe that generated the water for the refrigerator to produce ice underneath the sink that carried onto the floor a good portion of the weekend, which created additional attraction for the cockroaches. Floors had to be swept over as it was clear the floors had not been thoroughly swept. Upon sweeping in one-bedroom, broken glass bottle droppers were discovered. Dead gnats were found along the walls of the bedrooms on the lower level that had never been swept up and disposed. Rusted garbage cans should be disposed. I looked past the water not being able to dispense through to produce ice, I looked past the note of possibly seeing a few bugs and cockroaches, and past the water shutting off mid-shower after 3 minutes in one shower. Property manager was receptive to acknowledging the issues of the property. He was reachable, however, had no solution to the problems. A continuation of messages I received were very insulting. if you wish to receive a continuation of texts and calls to remind you everyday of house rules, rent here!
