Idyllic setting but needs some TLC - very responsive host !
Overall decent stay for a full week. Can’t beat the view or large private lot with dock. You can sit in the backyard or on the dock and just take it all in for hours. It’s very pretty. Allowing dogs was a big positive. Location - it is 30 mins from any restaurant unless you take a boat but it’s a minute from boat ramp. It is on the main part of the lake so you can’t keep your boat tied down due to all of the wake. I’m writing the rest here as not an unhappy guest but more for improvements for the owners. This can be a killer rental (and it still may be) but it just needs some TLC. Interior - Pots and pans all need to be replaced. We ended up buying two cast iron pans. There are so many electrical switches that either don’t work or not hooked up. Ms Pac Man never booted up. TVs worked and cable too. Wi-Fi needs an upgrade - likely the router. The host got someone to clean all of the windows and deck within an hour and it was so needed. Layout is choppy and not conducive for larger families to congregate in one room. We were a party of 6 which was fine. Two separate kitchens unnecessary. It’s all just a little dated and things will break. For example, the slide lock on the back porch door was rotted and just fell off after the first day. We used a screwdriver the rest of the stay.

SML Family vacation
We visit SML every summer- This house has the best location and views of any home we have ever rented in SML. We enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks from Parkway Marina right from the side lawn, playing Ms Pac Man and the beautiful views during our meals from the large windows. The upstairs game room was a favorite hangout. We wished the house was cleaner upon our arrival. There were many cobwebs high along the ceiling but also around picture frames. The layout of the home is not great for a large family as it is an older home with many small rooms. Finally, while some of the neighbors were very friendly the neighbor immediately next door watched our every move and did not seem to be very happy with a rental property next to his home.

Let me start by saying the location and lake view,lake access was gorgeous and great. The house could use some tender love and care. The owner should always have a good sweeper in the rental when dogs are allowed . All the shower curtains need to be replaced. They need exterminator for ant problem. The cleaning service needs replaced the house was not clean to my standards they need to clean under and behind stuff. I paid a nice rental fee to stay in this home and a cleaning fee so I expect the house to not have dust bunnies cob webs bugs or dirt in every corner under table. We made the best of it after I spent a couple hours cleaning with no sweeper. The location was great we enjoyed the lake and family. Thanks

View is worth it
Okay, so it was a pain bringing our own toilet paper and linens. But the view ... I don't think there is a better view on SML. Seriously, we went in November and couldn't help sitting outside. Worth it.

Beautiful location
The location of this home is wonderful. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Nice split floor plan, two homes basically attached and perfect for families traveling together. The sandy Beach is perfect for kiddos and easy walk from home to beach/dock for elderly family members
