The Space:
Enjoy the plentiful activities of Treasure Island's beach community as you unwind in our spacious, open and well-appointed home. Pack the cooler, small Weber grill, beach gear, fishing rods, etc to savor the sea & sandy beach just a quick walk or scenic stroll away. Have a boat? Use the island's private launch. Save up your energy and end the day with an oceanfront beach bonfire while you go crabbing or just listen to the sounds of the surf.
When done outdoors for the day, come back to a huge wraparound deck, modern furnishings and all the conveniences to make your vacation enjoyable. The place is designed perfectly for entertaining-open floor plan, 4K Ultra HD tv, Sony sound system w/ bluetooth for playing your preferred tunes, full wine bar w/ fridge and margarita maker, dining table seating for 8+ plus large dinette (great for board games) and bar stools galore!
Bringing the kiddos? The beach-themed bunk room is ready to go with a huge Queen over Queen bunk bed and comfortable bean bag chair for reading the "Pirateology" book.
Regardless of how you choose to spend your time, the Captain's Quarters of Pirate Jean Lafitte will be sure to produce fantastic vacation memories. Fun fact, it is rumored his buried treasure is somewhere on the island.

Guest Access:
EASY CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.
The Neighborhood:
TREASURE ISLAND: Stop by the convenience store to snag some basic supplies and beverages, fill your bait bucket and/or rent a golf cart. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's spot for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the frothy surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire while you listen to the waves under a sea of stars. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or fishing pier on the bayside. So much to do so little time! AREA: San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" time with family, extended family, and friend on a clean beach with excellent fishing conveniently located between Galveston and Surfside Beach. It is close enough to take a day trip to Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and The Strand, or grab lunch/dinner at the numerous waterfront restaurants including the Sugar Skull Rolling Cafe or Beach or Beach Front Deck Bar & Grill in Surfside. NOTE: While there is a basic grocery/convenience mart (Bright Lite) in the neighborhood and Seven Seas Grocery about 10 -15 min away, we do suggest, given this is on an island, you purchase your groceries ahead of time or at least plan to make a bit of a drive for most extensive purchases.

NOTE: While there is a convenience store and Seven Seas Grocery about 10 -15 min away, we do suggest, given this is on an island, you purchase your groceries ahead of time or at least plan to make a bit of a drive for most extensive purchases. Bluewater Grill is now open and is less than a mile away accessible via beach (golf cart or good walk) or car.

We ensure our homes are fully and professionally cleaned after each guest stay guaranteeing your stay is nothing short of spectacular. In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels. When you rent a 979 VPS home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' starter kit of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and we make every effort to delight.
DOG-FRIENDLY:
Up to 2 well-behaved dogs considered, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee ($125 for 1 dog, extra $75 for 2) per stay.
WIFI/TV SERVICE:
Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!
979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All our rental home follow local and state tax rules. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - No Security Deposit Required!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.
After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.
Reservations made on 3rd party channels such as Airbnb, VRBO, TripAdvisor, etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.
