About this property

Elegant Mountain Home - 3 bedroom / 2.5 Baths

Get away from it all in Alpine County, the smallest county in California. With about 150 full time residents, and separated from the rest of California by the imposing Sierra Nevada , the county seat of Markleeville has developed a reputation as an outdoorsman paradise. Here enjoy the soothing sounds of nearby Markleeville Creek in the spring, the quaking aspen trees in the front yard, or head out to Grover Hot Springs for a rejuvenating soak.

This newer modern mountain home is full of woodsy detail and charm with plenty of light and large picture windows. Large wrap around deck with comfortable seating and BBQ for summer outdoor dining. Cherry floors, natural wood details, and comprehensive amenities, insure a comfortable mountain vacation experience you will not soon forget.

This home is located in the heart of rural Alpine County and is only 22 miles to Kirkwood and to Tahoe, 1 mile to downtown Markleeville, and 3 miles to Grover Hot Springs. Fish, Swim, Kayak or raft, in the nearby East Fork of the Carson River, numerous hiking trails starting at your front door, rock climbing at Woodfords Canyon, explore the old mining districts, and just get away from it all.

Available May 1st through November 30th, this home is well equipped for your spring, summer, or fall vacation plans.

The house sleeps 8 in beds.

Markleeville Hideout
this is a wonderful spot, just up the road from "town." The home is beautiful and has the feeling of being lived in and loved. Cooking in this kitchen is a five star review! very nice. and the second best part is the very large (10' wide) window in the master bedroom. Owner/manager is quite responsive which was an added bonus!

Enjoyable Stay
My family enjoyed their time at the house. The kitchen had enough dishes for our large family and we could all eat at the large table. Communication with Ben was excellent. He responded quickly to my inquiries. He checked on us couple of times to make sure we were doing well. He really showed he cared that we would enjoy our time there. We went fishing in the area and did a hike at Grover Hot Springs Park. The house is in a nice neighborhood where we took evening walks. Thank you, Ben, for sharing your home.
