About this property

Rural VT Retreat—Complete Privacy on 140 Acres! Long-term rental specials!

This is a beautiful newly-build luxury home that sleeps 10 and has incredible views of the surrounding area that is perfect for a family or group of friends looking for fresh air and seclusion. A half hour from Mt. Snow and built on 140 acres, there is plenty of privacy, plenty of amenities such as a hot tub, central AC, and plenty of space—a perfect rental for any time of the year. Professionally cleaned from top to bottom after each stay.

The Space
An incredible home with five bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms to allow up to 10 guests to say very comfortably. Newly built, this home comes with AC (a luxury for Vermont!), huge windows to let in plenty of light, and a big family room with a huge couch. On the lower level is a pool table, a great way to wind down after a day of fun.

The kitchen is state-of-the-art and very large, has granite counters, and an Aga stove, instructions are included! Perfect for cooking for your whole group, and stocked with everything you need—just bring the food!

Outside is the hot tub and an outdoor shower, along with a balcony and a deck that is perfect for reading, talking, or simply taking in the sights. The deck also has a BBQ for the grill master and there is furniture to serve meals outside during the warmer evenings. There is a stream and hiking trails for those who want some exercise as well.

If you like to read indoors there are also plenty of spaces, including a meditation room, and a fireplace. The bedrooms are beautiful, the bathrooms and gorgeous, and are stocked with towels, linens, and paper products.

The Perfect Day
In the morning, make sure to pause for a minute, take in a sip of hot coffee or tea, and watch as the sun rises—the views are too good to not take in! Then it is time to get ready for a day of adventure, cook up a brunch using the incredible Aga stove, pack up the car, and head on out!

For those staying in winter, head on over to Mt. Snow and shred some powder! You can either spend all day on the mountain, or break it up into two sessions, grabbing a light lunch and doing some shopping in town as you rest the muscles for the afternoon or evening ski session.

After a day of fun, you can warm up and soak those muscles in the hot tub, or start a fire in the fireplace, and with the crackling wood as your companion, have a gaming or movie night as everyone winds down.

If you wish to stay in, put on the hiking boots and explore the nature that Vermont has to offer, or make a warm cup of hot chocolate and curl up with a good book, near a window for those great views of course! If you are feeling creative, try your hand at the next great American novel, or sketch the view for something to hang at your home or office.

The Neighborhood
The home is located in rural Vermont, on 140 acres. Still, the estate is reasonably close to Mt. Snow, which is 30 minutes away, 10 minutes to Shelburne Falls, with lakes nearby for picnicking, swimming, and kayaking.

There are festivals and fairs throughout the year, the horse show is especially famous and is located in Manchester. There are also farms that offer incredibly fresh and tasty produce, eggs, meats, and baked goods, and from June to October is berry picking season.

The town of Whitingham is 18 minutes away and has lakes for boating, swimming, and fishing, and the Deerfield river offers tubing and rafting. There are also several places to eat, as well as a winery, and a brewery. There is a grocery store, a general store, and a place to purchase fuel. For those who like to support local artists, there are two pottery stores with galleries, as well.

The lovely town of Wilmington is only 20 minutes away. There you can find great restaurants, or more casual places to get pizza, and Dot’s is a well-known diner. There is a Shaw’s for grocery shopping, a liquor store, general stores, gas stations and pharmacies, everything you need for your stay. Additionally, there are art galleries and book stores, charming little places to stop in and check out.

Fishing is very popular in Vermont, the lakes and rivers are stocked with trout, and contain local species as well, bass, pikes and perch to name a few. Whether you want to fly fish, cast and reel, or use live bait, anglers of all skills and interests will find a great spot!

This place is perfect year-round! Fun in the snow, AC for the summer, and great views of the trees for autumn—we know you will thoroughly enjoy your stay and leave refreshed and revitalized!

Great place to stay!
A great place to stay, the cabin itself is expansive and all the amenities mean there is always something to do. The property feels secluded but still has good access to general stores and white water rafting places, which we enjoyed. The only quirk is that the model of oven/stove is always on, which can keep the place pretty toasty. Would strongly recommend to people looking for a nice and quiet place to stay.

Family Weekend for NMH Graduation
Fantastic house for large family. Great kitchen to cook meals. We played pool and used the hot tub. Thank you to the caretakers for finding and returning our kindle we left behind. The owner was VERY easy to work with and responded to my questions quickly and professionally. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway.

Quiet Getaway!
The house is spacious and well equipped. Plenty of room for my family to spread out and enjoy our time away. There’s great outdoor activities in the area and quaint towns near by. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great spot!
Lovely home in beautiful, secluded surroundings. We spent four nights with our adult children. We saw wild turkeys in the meadow, woke up to deer running across the field below the bedroom windows - pretty idyllic!
