Welcome Guests! We are so excited you are considering Uncle Frank's Cabin for your 2024 vacation, as this is our 13th year renting our cabin. Uncle Frank's Cabin is a medium-sized lakefront cottage located on quiet Lancaster Lake in Levering, MI. We are the perfect choice for the family or couple looking for a 'R & R' vacation away from the hustle and bustle of city life or the travelers' that seek adventure by visiting all the attractions Northern Michigan has to offer. We are located a 4 miles off I-75 and 15 minutes South of Mackinaw City, so we are easy to travel to and from.

Uncle Frank's Cabin is nestled on a 3.5 acre property full of wild raspberries, birch trees, and a large yard. Enjoy the lakefront of Lancaster Lake, a small yet deep inland lake (50+ acre). The lake is perfect for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and small or slow moving motor boats. Enjoy using of our 8 passenger PONTOON BOAT, CANOE, and returning by popular demand the PEDAL BOAT, all FREE of Charge!

In addition to enjoying the lake activities please utilize our iron ring fire pit with firewood and kindling provided, hammock, pine deck, propane BBQ grill (propane also provided, picnic table with umbrella.

When you are not soaking up the sunshine outside, Uncle Frank's Cabin provides all the comforts of home. Uncle Frank's cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a fire place living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and relaxing front family room with extra sleeping space.

Although we only rent our cottage for week durations in the Summer (June, July, August: minimum of 5 nights); 2+ nights days are available in the spring and fall. Please do not hesitate to send us an inquiry!

Fantastic Up North Cabin!
The cabin was exactly as described, and the lake was beautiful. This was rented as a gift, and all of the little touches / notes they left were so sweet. I would 100% recommend this cabin to anyone without pets looking for a quiet up north getaway.

A lot of fun!
Loved the cabin. Comfy beds and sofas. Had everything we needed! Centrally located. The pontoon boat that came with the cabin was the best. We were all able to go fishing. Mom caught a 18 inch dog fish and a huge bass. She was thrilled!

Great Place Close to Mackinac Island
A really great spot to stay close to Mackinac Island. We really enjoyed the views and the coziness of the cabin. We were really excited about the fish chairs, the fire pit and the opportunity to get out on the lake with the Pontoon. The Pontoon was definitely a highlight of our stay! We had a really great time and are already talking about when we can plan a trip out again next year!!

Quiet and peaceful.
Cabin was very cozy and clean. Small lake with only a few cabins on the lake that we could see, so it was very peaceful. While we didn't use it, having the ability to use the pontoon and paddleboats was a nice perk to the property.

Greetings future renters! We are Frank and Sherry Petrowski proud owners of Uncle Frank's Cabin. We live in Petoskey, MI (only 40 minutes from Uncle Frank's Cabin) and we love Northern Michigan, Summer time, and family. We have shared 44 years of married bliss and we are the proud parents of two adult children and grandparents to two adorable granddaughters.

Frank is the residential 'handy man' of Uncle Frank's Cabin as he is a retired certified service technician and has built many of the additions to Uncle Frank's Cabin. Including our famous 'Fish Chairs' out by our fire-pit. Frank is also the outdoorsman of the duo and loves fishing as much as he can. So ask him where to score the monster fish!

Sherry is the resident 'concierge' of Uncle Frank's Cabin and she loves traveling and community events. So ask her about where to go for dinner or what local festivals are going on. Sherry has retired from her position as pre-school teacher and ready for
the summer. Let her know if you are celebrating a special occasion, she loves adding a special touch to your stay. Also everyone can enjoy her 'Welcome' basket as you have fun at Uncle Frank's Cabin.
