About this property

Lakeside Lodge - 15 ft From Lake, Dock, Kayaks/Canoes/SUPs, Pet Friendly!

Welcome to Lakeside Lodge, where timeless rustic charm meets modern comfort in a picturesque lakeside setting. This historic retreat, with over 150 years of history, offers an unparalleled range of outdoor activities and relaxation opportunities, making it the ultimate destination for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful escape. Regardless of the season, Lakeside Lodge provides an idyllic backdrop for your getaway, whether you're an adventure seeker or simply looking to unwind.

Nestled just 15 feet from the pristine shores of Rangeley Lake, this updated rural Maine cabin offers a spacious retreat that can comfortably accommodate multiple families. Enjoy direct access to the lake, where you can rent a boat in town and conveniently pick up your crew from our private dock. If you have your own boat, launch it in town and keep it at our dock for your entire stay. Lakeside Lodge is also conveniently located just 2 minutes from the Mingo Springs Golf Course and offers easy access to the Appalachian Trail for abundant hiking opportunities.

For those looking to explore the charming town of Rangeley, it's a mere 5-minute drive away. Discover a variety of bars, restaurants, shops, and even a bowling alley with live music. Our lakeside haven ensures you'll have everything you need at your fingertips.

Inside the main house, you'll find cozy and well-appointed spaces, including two bedrooms upstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, a foosball table, and a TV area with a smart TV. Downstairs, an ensuite king master bedroom awaits, along with the versatile "4th bedroom" Den, featuring a Smart TV and an inflatable sofa bed with curtains for privacy. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and microwave, ensures you can prepare delicious meals for the whole family. A washer and dryer on the main floor add to your convenience.

Entertainment options abound, from ping pong in the basement to foosball upstairs. For an added touch of nostalgia, enjoy the separate Bunk House, available from Labor Day to Columbus Day, with a queen bed, a twin bunk bed, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette.

Outside, you'll discover a wealth of amenities to enhance your lakeside experience, including a spacious dock for your boat (available from Memorial Day to Columbus Day), watercraft like kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards (available from Memorial Day to Columbus Day), and fishing gear for the angler in your group. Fire up the gas grill for lakeside barbecues, dine on the lake-view deck, or relax in multiple outdoor seating areas.

Gather around the lakeside fire pit, where firewood is included, and create cherished memories under the starry night sky. Lakeside Lodge promises an unforgettable retreat on the serene shores of Rangeley Lake, where timeless elegance and outdoor adventure await. Your lakeside escape begins here!

A few important notes before booking:

Summer rentals (July/August/First half of September) are week-long from Saturday to Saturday.

- The bunk house is not a 4 season abode, meaning that once it starts freezing at night we have to close and winterize it (no water or electricity and antifreeze in the toilets). This means that after Columbus Day (the beginning of October) to Memorial Day (the beginning of June) it is not available for your use. This means that the home only sleeps 9 from Columbus Day to Memorial Day.
Memorial Day to Columbus Day:
Accommodates: 13
Bathrooms: 3.5
Bedrooms: 5
Bed: 9
Rest of the year:
Accommodates: 9
Bathrooms: 2.5
Bedrooms: 4
Bed: 6

- The dock extension and the watercraft are also only available from Labor Day to Columbus Day.

- As a historic 150-year-old home in a rural setting, guests should anticipate some “old home” issues as well as encounters with local fauna, including bugs, rodents, deer, and the enchanting calls of loons. Additionally, please be prepared for occasional power outages and keep in mind that the region experiences frequent rainfall, but these are all part of the unique charm of Northern Maine :)

-This is not a party house; considerate behavior is expected out of respect for nearby and full-time resident neighbors who value their peace and quiet.

.:. COVID CANCELLATION POLICY .:.
We understand that COVID-19 is affecting travel plans less and less these days, but we do still have people who want to cancel right before their trip due to a positive test for a member of their party. Although we respect and support any attempt to not get others sick, we do not believe we should bear the full financial burden of this. So in the case of a last-minute problem, we have established the below cancelation policy if a member of your group has COVID and you no longer want to stay.
-Over 7 days out from the beginning of the reservation: We will issue you a full refund.
-Between 7 days and 48 hours from the start of reservation: 50% + any amount over that we are able to re-rent the unit for.
-48 hours from the start of your reservation: We will only refund you what we are able to re-rent the home for.
-We suggest testing to where you get your results 7 days out and quarantining from there.
-We require an official (from the doctor) positive covid test with a name on it and a matching ID. A picture of an at-home test does not qualify.
-We suggest purchasing travel insurance.
- Please cancel as soon as possible after providing the documents, also please note cancellations must be done before 4pm otherwise it will count as a day.

October Boys Weekend
The camp was clean and had a great view of Rangeley Lake. The weather wasn't great but the camp had plenty of activities to have fun inside. Was a great place to hang out and relax with friends.

Incredible lake surroundings
This house offers the lake view which is ineffably vibrant. Besides the beautiful lake, this lodge is prefectly located in the Lakes and Mountains region with magnificent mountain ranges, glacial lakes, and waterfalls. We also appreciate the comfortable living, rustic design and many unique qualities that this house has to offer.

Great stay with extended family. All is as represented. Really enjoyed extended views of the lake and fall colors. Use of the canoes and kayaks was a huge plus.

Perfect spot
We had two families of four in our party and this property was perfect. There was plenty of room in the main house and the additional space in the bunkhouse was fun for the kids to have their own space. On sunny days, we had a lot of fun with the kayaks, paddleboards, and we rented a water ski boat. On rainy days, we had the ping pong table, the foosball table, and plenty of room so we were not on top of each other. The town of Rangeley surpassed our expectations as well. There was a great grocery store, a good number of really good places to eat (Parkside & Main was a standout), and a really fun bowling alley/games/bar place (Moose Alley). All in all, we had a truly excellent vacation. We all agreed that we would rent here again.

Born and raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire I grew up with a love for the outdoors and everything it had to offer. Since then I have run or been involved with a number of business that have taken me westward to Lake Tahoe but I still consider the north east to be home.

Why they chose this property

When my mom, brother and I first came across this home we knew it was the one. When you walk through the house for the first time it's almost impossible to get over the proximity of the lake. It feels as though Rangeley is in your living room. Add that to the permanent dock structure and state park across the way we knew this house was a keeper.
