Really enjoyed the place. It is a beautiful property and right on the lake. Big kitchen, living room, new furnishes, yard and deck. We spent most of our time on the deck, out on the lake and at Lord Fletchers, which is also close. Also a nearby place to rent a pontoon and Caribou! We rented a pontoon and it was great to have a place to dock it. I would highly recommend this property.
The one and only slight complaint I have is that one of the neighbors seemed to be checking up on us and multiple times was seen listening or peering to see what we were doing. This seemed a little odd.
Steve met us at the house and showed us around; we rented the canoe and paddle boards, so he had these out and ready for us. The entire week was a treat! With Lunds/Byerly's close by, we were able to stock the fridge and eat well in that great little kitchen. The deck out back has two very nice lounge chairs for enjoying the breezes off the lake and the view of the water. We spent time out on the water to enjoy the lovely Minnesota October days. We also went into Wayzata, Excelsior, and took bikes out on the trails. Good restaurants nearby (Dakota Station was very good with their farm-to-table options), good access to Minneapolis, too. I agree that a king bed upstairs would be a terrific addition to the house, but we slept well and stayed warm. Wifi was fast, TV was fun since we don't keep up with cable at home. Recently renovated, the house is cute, cozy and perfect for a small family, especially one with teenagers. Steve and Sam were courteous and helpful with our questions. Sam even went out and purchased a tire pump to keep at the house so we'd have one in case of tire trouble. Highly recommended for a true Minnesota experience. We topped off the week with a weekend stay at Radisson Blu which is attached to the Mall of America. It was very nearly a perfect trip. Thank you Steve and Sam!
The house was very nice, just as pictured! Steve was very responsive and easy to work with! We would highly recommend staying at the house. We were there during the Ryder Cup event held at Hazeltine National Golf Club - it was about a 20 minute ride from house to the club. We enjoyed eating at the Narrows restaurant.
The house was everything it advertised and more. Clean and spacious with great decor. Great kitchen with all we needed. Wifi was fast. The deck was a wonderful place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunsets were amazing. The deck was extra large and fun to jump off with the grand kids when they visited. The only thing we'd wish for in the future is a king size bed. Thank you Steve for sharing this lovely retreat with us.
Loved it!! Would book again!
Great lake front house, easy to find, and well cared for.
