Dreams Come True (DCT) Cottage is a fully updated and renovated three-bedroom, two-bathroom Cape Cod-style home that is only 387 steps away from the sand. Located in quiet and friendly Cape May Beach, NJ (sometimes referred to as Villas, NJ or Lower Township), DCT is family and pet friendly. No beach tags are needed and dogs are allowed on the beach all year (unlike the oceanside that requires tags and prohibits dogs except in the winter). Clean beaches are an important ecosystem for horseshoe crab migration. A visit to Cape May County, NJ will afford you the opportunity to relax, refresh and reconnect with loved ones and friends. At the same time, you will be only six miles from historic and exciting Cape May City and the ocean beaches.

PROPERTY DAMAGE WAIVER/SECURITY DEPOSIT - When you book a stay with us, you are automatically covered by up to $500 in accidental property damage. It is a waiver that we include in the cost of every reservation. Please read the rental agreement carefully to understand how our Property Damage Waiver and Refundable Security Deposit can provide peace of mind.

TRAVELER'S INSURANCE: As we always remind our guests, if you haven't already chosen to do so, please consider the purchase of traveler's insurance. We would not want you to lose out on your vacation costs due to unforeseen circumstances. Make sure your policy covers you for the issues that concern you the most (You can purchase traveler's insurance from many locations. It is not required to be purchased thru this site).

OPTIONAL LINEN SERVICE - While it has always been customary in the region and at our property to not provide linens in vacation rentals, due to COVID-19, we have also removed all bed comforters, blankets, and decorative pillows. Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets, comforters, bed linens, bath linens, and kitchen linens or rent them through a linen service. Please see the details in our rental agreement and notify us if you would like to add this optional service.

The Tour:

The front yard is the classic beach yard - stones and crushed sea shells. Parking is available for up to two cars in the driveway and three more cars on the street in front of the house.

The house is more than 1500 square feet. As you enter the home, you will see that there are hardwood floors throughout. The first room is the living room, complete with seating, built-in bookshelves with a small book collection, and a gas fireplace. This is a great quiet place to curl up with a book in the central A/C on those days when you want some alone time while everyone else heads to the beach.

The back of the house hosts a warm and updated kitchen. There is an island with three bar stools for a quick meal and just about everything you could possibly need is included. There is a stacked washer and dryer in the pantry, plenty of storage for all that you bring with you (and plenty of shopping nearby for anything you forgot). Electric glass top stove, dishwasher, standard oven/convection oven, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, and small appliances such as coffee maker and toaster.

If you step farther back in the house through the kitchen, you will enter the three-season room. A dining table and four chairs and some additional furniture give guests a way to enjoy the outdoors while being protected from the weather. Large screened windows can be opened or closed and two doors lead to the fenced backyard. There is a 2nd gas fireplace in this room, which will let you enjoy meals and time with family and friends outdoors even when it's cold outside (there is no A/C in the 3-season room, but the walls are screened, and include a ceiling fan).

Down the hallway on the first floor is the largest of the two full bathrooms. It has a large walk-in shower (no bathtub). There are two bedrooms to finish off the first floor, one with a full (double) bed and one with a queen bed. Both rooms include storage in dressers and/or closets.

Upstairs you can create your own "Master Suite" or open up the space for all your guests. The entire floor is brightly lit with natural light and has hardwood floors.

The Master bedroom is large and beautifully furnished with a Queen sized bed, dressers, side tables, and other storage.

There is a smaller full bathroom. This includes a shower/tub combination, but note that the tub is tucked in under a dormer.

Finally, the Family Room (or use it as a fourth bedroom) is expansive and includes a sectional sofa, a bar and bar stools, a 65" large screen smart television, and board games for guests to enjoy. There is plenty of room to bring a portable crib or air mattress to use this room for extra sleeping space for our capacity of 10 guests. Out the back of the family room, you will enjoy a rooftop deck that is often shaded by the large trees in the neighborhood and offers some seating for several to enjoy.

The backyard is private and shaded and includes a storage shed that houses some of the toys we have brought for guests to enjoy along with us. The fully fenced yard will keep your dog and/or children safe. A picnic table and outdoor chairs provide even more summer fun seating.

With a FRIDAY changeover day in the summer months, you can get a jump ahead of beach traffic and enjoy more time on vacation. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am so that our housekeeping and maintenance staff can ready the rental for every guest.
