The story is this 1899 home was built for the management of the active Gold Mines in the area. It is a two story house. On the main floor we have one bedroom with a queen bed, a very nice comfy queen sofa sleeper in the living room, one full bath, and a new kitchen with everything you need . The second floor has two additional bedrooms. One large room with a queen bed, sofa and loveseat. One smaller bedroom with a double bed. The upstairs bathroom has a shower. Outdoor BBQ gas grill. Perfect location and easy to find right on HWY 16/385 between Hill City and Keystone. Go right next door to the famous Dakota Stone Rock Shop, with gem panning, mine advanture, and gift shop. Hill City's newest winery is also right next door, with two other winery's within two blocks. One brewery next door and one just around the corner. And just five minutes to the world famous Alpine Inn Restaurant. Also you can access the ATV trail system from here and go north on miles of trails. We have lots of parking for campers, trailers, boats, so bring your toys.
Hope to see you soon

This home was a great space to share and spend time with family. The location to area attractions was wonderful. We found the property to be clean and stocked with everything needed for our week. We will visit again.
We loved it there, everything was clean and the house had everything we needed. Would stay there again 😃
Beautiful vintage home with nice upgrades. The rooms were large with lots of space for our family to stretch out. I felt it was bigger than the pictures looked.
Even though it is next to a busy highway and a rock/gravel company, it was extremely insulated from sound. There was a backhoe dumping rocks right behind the house and we had no idea while inside.
Great location for hitting all the tourist spots...and LOTS of wineries. The food at Naked Winery right next door is quite good. Also, the Prairie Berry around the bend has an unusually high end menu for the area (with a matching price tag).
The wifi, although weak and a bit spotty, was actually extremely useful since our phone service was almost nonexistent.
The only negative was a very faint "cat smell" after it rained. Very minor and didn't notice once you were inside for a minute.
I'd recommend and would stay again if I'm the area.
This house was amazing. The hosts were so nice and thoughtful. Everything we needed was supplied! The charm of the old mining house was wonderful and gave the kids hours of fun thinking of mining ghost stories. The rock shop next door owned by the owners of the house was full of great items and all of the employees were so helpful. The kids had a blast over there too! I can't say enough about the fabulous location of the house. It was close to everything. We couldn't have had a better trip! Thank you Marilyn!!!!
Great house. Good location for area sites. Very clean and plenty of room. Truly a home away from home!
Loved staying here. This location is perfectly located so that we were close to all the things we wanted to see.
