This flat is the newest of our little gems of the Carribean! The unit has been completely remodelled throughout including all new kitchen, bathroom, floor tiles, drapes, furniture, natural carpets and bedding. It includes two large screen wall mounted flat screen televisions as well as a new all weather wicker outdoor dining set.

This flat lies 20 yards from the beautiful turquoise waters of the Carribean. You have completely unobstructed views of the waters edge! Step right off the covered patio into the sand and relax in one of the lounge chairs located in front of the unit. This unit is located in the center of one of the best swimming beaches on St. Thomas. There is a volleyball net to enjoy a game or just relax under one of the beautiful trees at waters edge sipping a chilled cocktail. The view from the patio is breathtaking as you listen to the waves breaking nearby. This unit is also a very short walk to the two-tiered pool that overlooks the ocean.

The flat is located at Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina. Sapphire Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and snorkeling is great throughout the resort. There is a full service marina on the property that rents jet ski's, parasailing excursions, as well as charters to the British Virgin Islands. This is all located just out your back door! In addition, there is a dive shop on site that provides snorkeling equipment and kayaks.

The small town of Redhook is located less than a half mile from the unit where you will find many bars and restaurants including the famous 'Duffy's Love Shack'. In addition, there is a great small grocery story called Marina Market where you will be able to purchase made to order sandwiches and salads for your trip to the beach or your adventure to the British Virgin Islands and St. John. You can also purchase just about everything else you will need to there to make your stay enjoyable as they have a great meat, cheese and produce department. The ferry terminal to St. John and the British Virgin Islands is also conveniently located in Redhook.

Why Cheri Shinner chose Estate Smith Bay

My family and I fell in love with St. Thomas and Sapphire Beach when we first visited it on a Carribean cruise in August of 2010. We knew we wanted return. In January of 2011 we made a return trip to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We stayed at Sapphire Beach and knew we wanted to own a piece of this paradise. We purchased our first unit a month later and just this year (March, 2012) purchased our second unit. Both units are gorgeous and we are so happy to share our piece of this paradise with you!

What makes this condo unique

This flat is one of two of our 'Gems of the Carribean'. This unit is a one bedroom, 1 bath (sleeps 4). Our other unit onsite is a two story Villa with 1 bedroom, 2 baths (sleeps 6). Both units are gorgeous and decorated to provide a relaxing vacation atmosphere.

Paradise, Paradise, Paradise visited 2/24/18

Thank you so much to Cheri for sharing her paradise with us! We stayed in E 304 and as soon as you open the front door you can see all the way through the unit to the emerald and turquoise waters, the soothing sound of the waves on the beach a constant soundscape. This unit is very nicely decorated and furnished, both levels have expansive views of the sea all the way to St John, no need to use the AC! St Thomas is recovering nicely from the storms, we did go to St. John one day which had more damage but is recovering as well. It was so relaxing at Sapphire using the pool, beach, and snorkeling we didn't go elsewhere much, 2 trips to Redhook for groceries and shopping. The Slice restaurant just up the hill(a short walk) is open again and has great food and drinks. There is also a beach bar that has food and some live music. Cheri's unit is well stocked and very comfy, will definitely come back. We have also stayed at Sapphire before in a beach level unit and plan to check out her unit as it looks awesome, it is hard to beat stepping out onto the beach from your unit.

Best beach by far on St. Thomas

After being worried after the two hurricanes that hit the islands, sapphire beach looked like it was barely touched when we arrived. The unit was better than we expected and were greeted by an amazing open bar in the unit. (we added to it) I'm so glad we held on until power was restored to the area and took full advantage of the lighter crowds. Local shops and restaurants were extremely appreciative that we visited and helped to get the economy started gain. If you like snorkeling you'll be at the best beach. Don't be afraid to go to both ends, the farther around you go the more new life there is to see. St. Thomas is open for business again. Cheri's place was a winner in our book.

Great location in St. Thomas

Great convenient location! Easy to get to Redhook for the ferry, restaurants, and groceries. Sapphire Beach is beautiful. There are some renovations going on with a couple of the buildings next door, but they did not bother us one bit. My husband and I stayed in this unit with our two children (4 & 7 yrs), and there was plenty of room.

One thing I would definitely tell future vacationers at Sapphire....You do NOT have to pay the $6 per person for the 2 minute taxi ride to the ferry/Redhook! We paid $24 (4 people) two times a day for three days to go back and forth to St. John before we learned you can walk 50 yards up the hill to the main entrance/road and catch the open safari truck for $1 per person!! Still a great stay! Highly recommend :)

Beautiful, Comfortable Unit, Wonderful Beach

My second time at Sapphire, first in this unit. Cheri's unit was easy to access, was clean and ready for me. Everything was in order and very comfortable. Having a few days of rain it was very nice having a covered patio that was perfectly dry and usable on those days! I enjoyed being on the 1st floor with the ability to walk right out to the beach. The beach here is perfect for sunning, relaxing, swimming on the white sand side and snorkeling around the coral. I would definitely stay in Cheri's unit again!

Great Condo!!

Our family has stayed at several properties at Sapphire Beach Resort (all through VRBO) and this is the best one so far. Very nicely decorated and up-to-date and most importantly clutter free. The location of this condo is one of the best in our opinion...perfectly placed between main beach area and pool for the kids. Cheri is a very attentive owner always very prompt with getting back to general inquiries (an underrated attribute in my opinion).

Sapphire Beach never disappoints and we will be back again next year!!

Amazing unit! Perfect w little kids!

We stayed there for 5 days with little kids and it was the best and the most relaxing vacation. The apartment is newly remodeled, it's right in front of the water! And the water oh! It's a Carolina swimming pool! We live in PR and still it was the best vacation! The apt has everything you need to get comfortable and it has all you need to cook... we felt like home.

Theo went Cheri was very attentive and accommodating letting us check in early in the morning and checking out late! She has a local manager that liver in the condo so she's there for any help and questions! It's nice to have that! But I also had the owners number if I needed.
