All Season Cottage at Garland Resort

Cozy and comfortable golf cottage on the 10th green of the Fountains Golf Course at Garland Golf Resort in Lewiston. A total of 4 championship golf courses at Garland include Swampfire, Reflections, Monarch and Fountains, all from a single pro shop so there is no driving around. The Resort offers several great dining options including the Tiki Bar Patio, Antlers Bar and Tamarack Restaurant. Plus there is the option of grilling burgers on the newly expanded (2023) deck and overlooking the Fountains golf course at the cottage. The cottage is also a perfect location for winter gatherings where cross country skiing and snowshoeing are right out the door and near groomed trails. New fireplace in 2024. Skiing at Treetops, Boyne or Nubs Nob is just a short drive away.

Heating issue
The furnace (or the thermostat) was not functioning properly making the unit extremely cold. With the temperature outside at 43 degrees and rainy, the temperature inside the unit was 54 in the morning. We had to run the fireplace to get warm.

Perfect golf cottage
Everything was great. No issues with anything. Great location on Garland Resort property. Easy to find, right across the street from the main Garland entrance. Host is very accessible. Thanks again Jean.

Exceeded our expectations!
This is the second golf cottage we’ve stayed in and this one is by far our favorite! The location is beautiful, right on the 10th green with a nice view of the fountain. The cottage furniture is very comfortable as were the beds. We enjoyed the fireplace every morning and night, such a cozy ambience. It was nice having the grill on the deck, we used it several times and enjoyed eating outside on the deck. The deck furniture was very nice as well as the spacious table and chairs. This cottage was very well equipped! Kitchen has everything you need and bathrooms well stocked with bathroom necessities. The cell service was good and the Wi-Fi was excellent! We didn’t watch tv but there are 3 of them in cottage, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. The location to the town was very convenient. It’s right across from Garland resort and just a short drive is a Rite-Aid and Family Fare Grocery store. A few minutes from the grocery store is the Main Street we’re the historic bar Talleys is, best burgers and fries in Mi! We absolutely loved this trip and the cottage! The host Jean was very nice and even checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. We are so grateful that we were able to stay a week here and will no doubt be back! I highly recommend cottage 826! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage, charming is an understatement!

The story of how we met is just too long to share here but includes Howell High School and Central Michigan University. We married in 1993 and have two adult daughters.
Paul is in Project Management with TL Hart, Jean handles catastrophic worker's compensation claims for Accident Fund Insurance Company of America.
We foster puppies who are in training to become assistance dogs for PAWS With a Cause.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to this property for several years, as renters with good friends. Our good friend always handled the reservation and when looking for a property on this course, she suggested contacting the prior owner direct. We did just that and the timing to buy/sell was perfect for both of us. Garland Resort offers the golf and beauty we've been dreaming about and the cottage offers a relaxing place to call ours. We are looking forward to sharing our property with you.

What makes this property unique

There are East Twin (830 acres) and West Twin (1300 acres) all sport lakes a mile away. Lewiston offers summer and winter sporting options like snowmobiling or cross country skiing in the winter, providing 100's of miles of groomed trails and golf course options locally or very nearby in the summer. The Garland Resort is across the street offering 4 championship course to finish on the Tiki Bar Deck, dining at Tamarack Restaurant, or hanging out at Antlers Bar. Garland offers so much more than golf for year-round fun. And there are so many exciting and interesting towns nearby that offer endless opportunities for recreation, shopping and dining!
