Perfect Cabin Get-a-Way on a Beautiful Creek!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin nestled in the trees overlooking Horse Creek. The outdoor kitchen and bath house are a bonus to this beautiful setting. The bath house has 2 private outdoor showers, which overlook the creek. There is also a full bath inside the cabin. We spent most of our time sitting on the fully screened back porch listening to the creek. The kitchen and outdoor kitchen are both well stocked with cookware and utensils. For outside, it would have been nice to have a BBQ grill, but the camp cookstove w/griddle type grill worked great for cooking chicken. The bath house includes a sauna. But we couldn't get it to heat up. Bring your own games and books as there are no games and limited books available. The cabin was clean and in good condition. It could use a good cobweb cleaning, though. Both beds were comfortable with nice linens. There were plenty of towels and hot water!!! Be sure to bring your own toiletries. There is a very peaceful vibe on the property. Enjoy a walk through the old growth forest, spend time meditating or doing yoga in the yurt. Take in the serene beauty of it all. If you are looking for a quiet, off the grid cabin, this place is for you!!! The only noise you will hear is the rippling creek. We had such a wonderful time and Steve is a great host.

Best full moon retreat
My friends and I are unconventionally spiritual and silly with a great love for each other, different cultures, and nature. This rental and location was perfect for that. We absolutely loved it. Sometimes there were missing items that would have been nice like salt (which we bought and left for the next people) or we almost ran out of toilet paper or the wifi was awful because there was no wifi extender in the cabin or the sauna didn’t work but overall, that’s not a setback for all that we got out of this beautiful location. We’d stay again any day.

Nice spot, when there's power
The property was secluded, quiet, and had a lovely river running through it. However, the morning we were to stay there, the power company decided for good reason, to cut the power to avoid a wildfire. No power, no hot water (the water did run, most of the time). The owner did not give us an option to rebook, and provided us with a single lantern to light our way in the dark along with a single working flashlight. IN the morning, the owners' generator was off, so we had no running water to flush the toilets (luckily the river was close). We toughed it out, but feel like there should have been some kind of accommodation (reduced price, option to book somewhere else with power, a care package with a burner to heat water for coffee, something) to make up for the severe inconvenience.

Following extended travels to Egypt, Turkey, Peru, The Amazon Jungle, Mexico, Guatemala and Indonesia, I have returned with treasures from these cultures to share at the Cabin, Yurt, Sauna and Gardens.

The influences of Indigenous Folk Art inspires the magic of Picaflores which creates the allusion of being any where in the World.

I have found the advantages of being here are enhanced by the natural wonders of our Rain Forests of the Oregon Cascades affording the best water and clean air you can find and one of the greenest places on the Planet.

Come and Enjoy,
Steve

Why they chose this property

Picaflores is a destination unto itself.
A place to arrive, unpack and simply enjoy. Stroll the trails around the property, spend some time in the Balé Begong (our Balinese Dream Gazebo) overlooking Horse Creek and luxuriate in the sensual feast the elements of this land provide. Whether your need is for rest, relaxation, romance, a group gathering space, or a place to rejuvenate after an active day, consider Picaflores your sanctuary.

What makes this property unique

This is a unique property bounded by three natural creeks, Horse Ck, King Ck & Owl Ck (Horse Creek is a year round river flowing directly from the Three Sisters Glaciers). This provides our guests with a personal and private experience during their stay.
