We are offering a true 1 bedroom apartment, fully furnished and outfitted with luxury items and furnishings. Our home is in a turn of the century gated building, steps away from the U1 underground and minutes away from the center of Vienna.

Located in a gated late 18th century building, perfectly adapted near Dr. Reumann Platz, a quite tree lined side street with a perfect infrastructure, just a few steps away. The feeling of living in this multi culturel part of town, which is one of the oldest and largest of Vienna with all the charming labyrinth streets filled with shops, restaurants and cafes, is unique. This spaciously designed apartment is on the second floor (with elevator) 68m² (680 sq.f.) with 11ft ceilings, original doors and floors from the turn of the century. We have decorated it with all our heart and included some fine designer furniture along with modern amenities for your comfort. This apartment won't just be the place you stay while visiting Vienna, but an experience in itself, a part of your Vienna memories, something to write home about. The entrance way with generous and practical shoe and coat storage. Fully equipped chef's kitchen with Toaster, Microwave, Dishwasher, Coffee machine. Complemantary breakfast Coffee provided. Most basic spices are available.

The master bedroom has an American King size bed, with large overhead fan great storage place for garderobe and luggage. Bed linens are High Quality Egyptian Cotton. Very comfortable furnished living/dining room (with a convertible couch for 2). The entertainment center in the living room includes a 37” HDTV with international TV channels and more than 50 radio stations, as well as a bookshelf with leaflets and books about Vienna. An unlimited WiFi ultra-fast Internet connection is also available in all rooms. Lights in Living room and Bedroom can be dimmed. The Apartment is decorated with many original paintings and Black&White Photographies from my travels.

Location, location !

Hop on and off the subway and busses, almost 24 hours in operation, very safe and clean; day and weekly passes for tourist which include reduced entrance fees for many sightseeing's available.

Even so, cycling is the way to go in Vienna, Bicycles will get you from A to B quicker than anything else in the city. They have many advantages over walking especially when sightseeing. Check the cycling stand besides the larger subway stops. First hour cycling is for free and you can drop off at most subway stations. The bicycle path network is more than 1,050 kilometers long.

Bicycles are allowed on the underground from 9 am to 3 pm and after 6 pm on weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Half-price tickets at EUR 0.90 each are required for transportation.

About Hr.Richter

I'm in the export import business and travel extensively during the year. My mother is helping me with the rentals. As you can see on my profile having great fun finding insider restaurants and unique wine producers, as I am also a certified Sommelier, before somebody else does. Why Hr.Richter chose Favoriten

I stayed in this Apartment in the late 90´ies, as a friend of mine owned it, and I fell in love. It is one of the nicest houses in the district with Elevator and gated entrance.

We purchased it 2009 as he moved to Hungary.

The apartment has the charm of the turn of the century with the original doors and

old original Banquet floor with all the modern amenities.


Very quite and secluded location, but still only minutes away to public transport, the new railway station "Hauptbahnhof" the largest in Europe is in walking distance, with direct trains to the Vienna international airport, only 6 minutes to St Stephen's Cathedral, the center of Vienna with the subway.

Easy Access to the highway A2, public unlimited parking in front of house, It is very central and has a vast amount of parks and recreation areas.

Also there is daily a large Farmers' market, except Sundays with the freshest produce, very reasonable priced, approx. 50% less than in the surrounding supermarkets.

I love the idea of hopping on the subway and being in the center in less than 5 minutes but just as great to leave the touristy area behind.

Perfectly marked cycling path brings you in 10 minutes to the center and further on to the Blue Danube Island and for the more experienced bicyclers up to Bratislava.

What makes this apartment unique

The location is very central and has its charm of the Imperial time. The architecture is turn of the century and Art Deco; a must see to appreciate!

Dear Martin, We very much enjoyed our holiday in Vienna while staying

in your comfortable and spacious appartment. Public transport is

outstanding and it is very easy to travel anywhere from Reumannplatz. The

numerous guide books left in the appartment helped us organise our time and

understand Austria better. We were very lucky with the weather and thus

were able to explore lovely places outside Vienna. The Wifi connection was

also appreciated.

On our last day (17/6) the 'chimney sweep' came to check the boiler in the

kitchen; he gave us a small green document for the owner - we left this

with an explanatory note for Katarina on the table.

We would certainly recommend your appartment.

Our Home away from Home..charming apt close to everything

My husband and I became immersed in the charm and character of all Vienna with our stay at this apartment. It made our late night arrival so easy to have a ride service pick us up at the Vienna airport. Thanks Martin! The flat's closeness to the end of the U1 underground made getting around Vienna easy. And to get to pass by Tichy's Ice Cream every day made our stomach's happy! We stayed two weeks in this charming apartment. It was so nice to have a kitchen and make coffee and sit by the open window and hear the church bells at 7 am.. They also ring at 7 pm Monday - Friday and more on the weekends. It added to the magic of our stay. The king size bed was very comfortable and welcome after the amount of walking you do as a tourist in Vienna. Having a clothes washing machine helped reduce the amount of clothes needed for our travels. There are several grocery stores as well as an open air market within easy walking distance. Although it was warm during our stay, the windows stayed open and the ceiling fan over the bed made our sleep comfortable. Stay here and enjoy Vienna!

Good Location

excellent for our needs. very close to subway. (note, weekly tickets available for subway on Mondays only. These allow transport subway and bus as many times a day as you want for about 18 euros each). If you want to cook the utensils are too few. the bed was excellent. the bathroom floor was slightly stained. everything else was great.

When we walk through the gates of this property, we say "it's great to be home!" This trip we arrived by plane and were met at the airport by Martin's pre-arranged driver -- such luxury! Other times have been by train into the beautiful new Hauptbahnhof, only a few stops from the apartment. Believe what other reviewers have said about comfort, charm, excellent transportation ...

When we plan a trip to include Vienna, our first question is "when will the apartment be available?" and we build the trip around that.

Warm and comfortable

Long thin second-floor apartment with kitchen at one end, bedroom at the other. Immense double bed with two single duvets. Kitchen equipment a bit haphazard but functional. Central heating powerful and controllable, just what's needed in January. TV the size of a tabletop, hundreds of stations. WIFI works fine. Free taxi pickup at the airport worked perfectly, then we were met at the door and shown round the flat by Alexander, everything very relaxed and easy. Location is very close to Reumannplatz U-bahn station which we used every day. Recommend getting a Wochenkarte or other multi-trip ticket rather than buying individual tickets every time, cheaper and easier. You can buy them online before you go, and print them out yourself. Food shopping at Billa on Favoritenstrasse, 5 minutes away. Cafe Walther, on the right hand side at the other end of Reumannplatz, is good for a quiet beer. Only complaint is nothing to do with the apartment or the owner: the Homeaway web site is poor, not at all easy to use. We had trouble with it asking us to pay twice, for two bookings for the same week(?). That took a bit of sorting out.

Bohemian Prater

The amusement park was built in the second half of the 19th Century. From the original factory canteen of Vienna brickworks was at this time the first Ausflugsgasthaus Laa on the mountain. In 1883, already had numerous fairground families settled in the Bohemian Prater. This came as the workers of the brick factory, mainly from the Austrian crown lands of Bohemia and Moravia , and were thus its name to this new attraction in Vienna. In the following years there was a steady increase in the amusement park. During the Second World War , on 11 December 1944 the Bohemian Prater was almost completely destroyed by a bomb attack. After the reconstruction in the postwar years, he finally took on its current appearance. Great Outdoor places with live music and draft beer

Secession Building


~2.69 miles from Favoriten city center

The large, white, cubic Secession building was designed by the architect Joseph Maria Olbrich in 1897 as the manifesto of the Secessionist movement (see p25) and the exhibition hall opened in October 1898. Most of the original interior was looted during World War II and the building was left in a desolate state until the passion for Viennese Art Nouveau was rediscovered in the 1970s and the pavilion rescued from decay. Today it is one of the most treasured examples of a particularly Viennese artistic period.

The Wotruba Church, Liesing (Tram 60 to the Maurer Lange Gasse stop). A beautiful cubist church on the top of a hill overlooking the woods. There is also an open air planetarium next to the church.

Gasometer, Simmering (directly at subway station U3 Gasometer), If you are interested in the combination of new modern with old historic architecture, take a trip to the gasometers that has been revitalized from gas-tanks to new multi-functional buildings.

Lainzer Tiergarten, Liesing (at the border to the forest; tram 49 to its last stop, then you need to walk for about five minutes to Nikolaitor; in winter or when you want to visit the mansion tram 60 or 62 to Hermesstrasse station and then change to bus 60B (goes only every half hour), take the bus to the final stop, just a five minute ride). Various, but usually Mid Feb-mid Nov 8AM-dusk. A beautiful natural reserve used to be the Emperor's private hunting wood with the fancy Hermesvilla, the favorite mansion of Empress Sisi. In summer you can see wild pigs, deer, and many Viennese families. Has several 2-10 km hiking trails, as well as a variety of wildlife. You can see the animals get fed at 2PM every day. Ask any park attendant where the location is.

The world's largest Klimt collection at Wien Museum

The world's largest and most diverse Klimt collection is on display at Wien Museum. In addition to 411 drawings, Klimt's famous 'Portrait of Emilie Flöge' is exhibited.

Otto Wagner's Stadtbahn PavilionsOtto Wagner, the pioneering architect of Vienna's Art Nouveau era, was the designer in charge of the construction of Stadtbahn, a rail service running underground in some sections, as an elevated system in others, around 1900.

Vienna Museum Karlsplatz. Here, is the history of Vienna is documented, starting with the first settlements on the Danube and the Vindobona camp on the northern border of the Roman Empire, to the residence of the dukes of Babenberg and the 640 years of Habsburg rule, right up to the present time.

Belvedere, See Gustav Klimt's legendary painting 'The Kiss' as well as major works by Schiele and Kokoschka for yourself. You’ll be delighted by the magnificent ba-roque palace complex and its extensive gardens.
