Quiet country home with beautiful view
Small but spacious in a lovely quiet spot outside the city. The house is clean and comfortable, well-equipped with the basic amenities, and the view out over the river, thoroughly enchanting. Our hosts always responded quickly, were friendly, and provided easy, good directions and information for finding the house and nearby grocery stores. It’s nice to be in the countryside, if you like a peaceful place to relax and return “home” to after days of exploring. The drive into Quebec City was usually 20 minutes, depending on one’s destination. Parking in town was never a problem, and there’s plenty of parking space at the house. There are plenty of interesting and good restaurants in QC, and very pleasant to simply walk along the streets. Good museums, beautiful city.. There was more to explore than we managed to do, but we loved the city and drives through the countryside to see the changing leaves.
One thing I would have liked to know more about was whether there were kayaks available to rent through our VRBO hosts, for paddling on the river, but we didn’t hear back about that, and didn’t ask again once on site.
If you are going to Quebec City, stay at this property. The owners are great, we needed absolutely nothing but our luggage and our groceries. Everything else was provided. It would take me way to long to express how happy we were. Would have loved to stay longer.
Thank you very much for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed staying in our house and that you make the most of the outdoor set up. Please come again. Best wishes.
We loved our stay! Beautiful home and surroundings. Hosts were gracious and we had all the necessities we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!
We have stayed at a number of VRBO properties and this was among the best we have enjoyed. The house is very clean and appropriately outfitted without being cluttered. The basket full of guides and maps was a touch we particularly appreciated. Everything works as promised, from fast WiFi to a good gas grill on the deck. Situated on a quiet, private dirt road in a lovely area, you can, indeed, play in the river (we did!). With our two teenage sons, we enjoyed the Old City, lots of golf, Montmorency Falls, Ile D'Orleans and a hike in Parc National du Jacques Cartier each within very comfortable day trip distance. The owners were friendly and struck the perfect balance of offering advice and honoring our vacation privacy.
Wonderful place to stay, close to Quebec City
We stayed here for a week in February with our two kids (12 & 10). The house is perfect and had everything we needed. The area is beautiful! We took a snowshoeing hike up La montagne à Deux-Tête, and visited the Montmorency Falls. Will be going back again!!
Dear Laura and family,
Thank you for staying in our home. Please come again. Best wishes to all the family.
My boyfriend and i stayed here January 2019, we had been looking for the perfect place for our romantic getaway, and we found just that! We decided to make the eight hour drive from Toronto ! Our stay was like a winter wonderland, the views around the property are breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and kind, we walked in to a beautiful sparkling clean and cosy home , They truly made our stay extremely special and provided everything we needed in the house ! This place is piece of heaven on Earth ! Will definitely come back for different seasons.
Thank to gyna and jose

The house is conveniently located to all major arteries. Just a short driving distance to a grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants. Activities such as golf, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, excursions, shopping and walking trails are available.
If you happen to visit during the fall season, you will witness the sheer beauty of the spectacular changes in foliage. If you are here in the wintertime the nearest ski center is 15 minute away (downhill and cross skiing).
Quebec City boasts many activities for all tastes. A multitude of restaurants for those who like a gastronomic experience. For those who like outdoor activities, in the summer the possibilities are endless. In the area we have, whitewater rafting, waterparks, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, just to name a few. In the winter we have numerous downhill and cross-country ski centers, dog sledding, snowshoeing, etc. Quebec City also has numerous festivals in both winter and summertime.
The Indian Reserve Huron Wendat as well as the Montmorency Falls and Ile d’Orléans are located nearby and are worth a visit in any season.
