This lovely 2 bed garden suite is in a high end residential district, walking distance to beaches, shops and restaurants and minutes to the heart of the city and ski hills. This suite is ground level in a heritage style home, with a private entrance wood floors, gas fireplace, stainless steel kitchen appliances, in suite laundry, shower and whirlpool tub.

The suite has 2 bedrooms, great room with fully equipped kitchen, dining bar, leather couch, 47 inch TV and gas fireplace. One full bathroom with whirlpool tub and separate shower Wireless internet for your computer.

The large bedroom has a king size bed, a TV and a desk for working or just updating facebook on your computer. The secondary bedroom has a queen size bed or two European size twin beds (30 inches wide) and a wall mounted TV.

Parking is in front of the suite in a covered carport. Beside that is the guest patio with a table, chairs, electric barbeque and patio umbrella. Relax at the end of the day with a glass of wine or start the day with coffee on the patio.

There is a stacking washer and dryer in the suite.

About The Owner

We grew up on the west coast and raised our family here. West Vancouver has been our home for the last few decades! A few years ago we did a major remodel of our home and put in a high end suite. We enjoy travlelling and finding a 'home base' from which to explore new sites but have a place to settle in at the end of a busy day - so this what we created for our guests.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 1994

Excellent place to stay

The Dickinson’s house matched our needs perfectly. Only a few blocks away from our son’s place and close to all the best that West Vancouver has to offer. Bus stop to Vancouver also a few blocks away was most convenient, as we did not have a car for most of our stay. The apartment is large and well furnished with three TV sets, stove, fridge, fireplace, laundry facilities, etc. The bathroom is equally well appointed and relaxation comes easily. The two bedrooms are as well quite comfortable. Genine made sure that all was perfect for our stay, which was pleasant and totally trouble free. We highly recommend Genine and Keith’s place for short or long term stays in or near West Vancouver.

Excellent Accommodation

We loved staying with Genine and Keith. We took our two girls to West Vancouver Community Center's summer camps for a month and we had an entire suite that was beautifully decorated, as well as, a lovely patio for our stay.

Genine greeted us outside the property with a warm smile. She made sure that we were clear about any instructions to do with the suite. Genine and Keith made really helpful recommendations about where to eat and what to do by providing maps and guidebooks about the area. Genine even sent us coupons of Vancouver Aquarium by mail half-way through our stay - very thoughtful.

The location is excellent. It's close to everything; restaurants, shops, convenient stores, beach, parks and etc. This was a fantastic experience to us. We highly recommend Genine and Keith's suite for your future stay at West Vancouver!

Charming Garden Suite is a Gem

This is a wonderful place to stay. My teenage daughter and I had the good fortune to live here while I worked for an extended period in Vancouver. It provided a lovely home away from home, tucked under the mountains, in a well appointed, cosy, and remarkably efficient suite. I didn't have to bring so much as a spoon. Insuite laundry, jetted tub, fireplace, radiant floors, all these small luxuries make being away from home so much more comforting.

Genine and Keith are wonderful landlords, kind, relaxed, generous, and answered every need we had before we asked them. The house itself is well situated: walk 25 feet from the door and you're staring at the ocean, you're two blocks from coffee and the seawall. An hour and 20 to Whistler!

I could have easily done without the car, everything you need is at your doorstep, four blocks from the mall and Whole Foods, a quick drive to the ski hills, and in a neighbourhood that is amiable, convenient and safe. West Van itself has more of a village feel. The bus line is better than most in the Greater Vancouver area, 20 minutes to downtown. I grew up in Vancouver so I know what I'm talking about.

We are lucky to have had such a cheery little nest to make our own over the Christmas holidays. Being away from home is always a bit daunting, but Genine and Keith provide a warm and comforting abode in a small village of a bigger city. Its kind of ideal in that sense.

Our home away from home!

We have stayed in this suite twice, as I have family in West Vancouver who are not able to accommodate us when we visit. We have stayed in several other apartments on the North Shore, but this one is the best by far.

The neighbourhood (Ambleside) is very quiet but you are still close to all of the amenities that you need. The apartment is very well equipped (kitchen things, linen, etc.) and there were many thoughtful touches (they know that we have a young child and made every effort to accommodate us). The space is immaculately clean and was only very recently renovated. All appliances are brand new and there is very reliable wi-fi. Parking is literally just outside the door. We did not make much use of the outdoor dining area this time, but we did last summer. Beds are large and comfortable. The bathroom is very nice and also well appointed.

We would certainly stay here again if possible - the neighbourhood is very quiet and very convenient for us. Though it was not a priority for us, you can get downtown quite easily by car (you are just a few minutes from the Lions Gate Bridge) or by bus. You are also just a few minutes from the highway which leads to Horseshoe Bay and on to Whistler.

Thanks to Genine and Keith for another wonderful and worry-free stay!

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled 60 days or more prior to arrival, rental deposit is refunded minus a $150 cancellation fee. If cancelled 30 days prior to arrival, 1/2 of the rental deposit is forfeited. There is no refund if cancelled within 30 days of arrival. If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.
