Start the day with a round of golf, walk down to Lake Tahoe for a swim, hike Tahoe National Forrest, drive up to Northstar or over to Diamond Peak. The casinos are a 5 minute drive away also. You can access nearly everything Tahoe has to offer from this house. It's walking distance from the huge North Shore Safeway (with Starbucks inside), award winning restaurants like Lanza's, Jason's, Hiro Sushi and the Log Cabin. Walk to the Brockway movie theater, miniature golf or sit out on the deck and enjoy the redwoods.
Kings Beach was named after card shark Joe King, who won the town site from George Whittell nearly a century before poker had a cult cable-TV following. Set against a vibrant blend of colors, flavors and textures, Kings Beach is kick back. In fact, this stretch of North Lake Tahoe wrote the book on mellow kick back.
It is rightfully known as the north shore's banana belt, as it stands in
the sun’s path from early morning into the p.m. As if basking under the sun's glow were not enough, this mountain/beach town throws a sandy welcome to all with a signature downtown public beach.
Hip shops, restaurants, side-street vendors – all true to their cultural
heritage – and down-home Lake Tahoe lodging plus a host of human characters give the town an indescribable savoir cool. Hwy. 267 spills into Hwy. 28 here, too, presenting skiers/boarders insta-options to the North Shore’s Big 12 Lake Tahoe ski resorts.
Keywords: Location is everything! This house has it all: Five min walk to the Lake, on the 8th fairway of Old Brockway Golfcourse, Pro Shop and Blue Onion Restaurant, short drive to Northstar and Diamond Peak., 15 mins from Squaw Valley. Perfect house for your vacation, including huge loft for lounging, sleeping or movies, rustic dining table and benches to seat 12, inviting fully equiped kitchen opening on to large deck, BBQ and chairs, yard leading to 'rough' off 8th fairway, beautiful forested view with Lake access. Quite simply a comfortable and cozy stay in the woods with shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing right out side your door.
