Great Muskoka Weekend Getaway
Booked this cottage last minute for a large family getaway. Location is great - About 90 minutes' drive for most of the family from the GTA. Cottage was spacious, clean, and kid friendly which was important as the weather had us indoors most of the time. Kitchen /Dining was well equipped and room to easily seat the 10 in our group. Hot tub and fire table added to the winter experience when we were able to get outside. Beds were very comfortable. Great lake views. Hosts very responsive. Would like to go again in the summer or fall.

Not as advertised
Location was good, House was not clean, tuck tape around the windows as trim, main floor hall way was unfinished drywall and poorly done is a nice way to say it. Second floor is painted plywood as flooring and being able to see between the floors at the stairs top riser was great. There was clearly water issues with this house as the staining on the exposed framing indicated this. The smell in the house also indicated that this is an on going issue or the owner failed to mitigate the property in a professional manner. Would be concerned about mold growth between the floors which some was present on the main floor hallway at a raised floor area that had tile but there appears to be moisture problem below the file as the grout was wearing away and soft to the touch. The bed in one of the bedrooms was broken with half of the supporting structure for the mattress collapsed and resting on the floor which caused some sleeping difficulties. The deck was of poor quality and essentially falling apart. Tops of the nails coming up in areas with several boards that were not support and you could push down in to the water. With small children this was an issue in places. The hot tub had a broken hot tub cover. Original payment was declined by owner - sent back with 1k added on after two days of thinking it was set - with four adults having to get time off and all approved we felt trapped and after getting to the cottage we felt cheated. would never rent this place again.

Beautiful Place Reasonably Priced
This time we were nine friends and all agreed to take this cottage at Muskoka and we were not disappointed. The owner is very responsive and would go all the way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage has enough beds to accommodate all with individual bed. It is clean and the lake view is beautiful. Based on the number of people it can take with over all facilities it's well priced. We would not hesitate to go again.

Amazing
Photos don't do this place justice! Bedrooms were perfect for our group. The "Great room" was perfect for large family gathering. Windows everywhere! The lake is shallow enough for the young ones, but not too shallow that the older ones couldn't have fun too! Clearwater Lake is just what it's named with a sandy bottom...nice to walk out and float around. We had a great week.
