Meaford Attractions
Meaford, Ontario is located on the southern shore of Georgian Bay, within the Georgian Triangle region. A picturesque town with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Meaford is a great getaway for relaxing. The town is known for its apple growing heritage and has a famous roadside attraction to prove it. Referred to as The Big Apple, this structure truly resembles a big red apple and measure 4.5 m (15 ft) in diameter and is made of spruce and fibreglass. The Big Apple is not only an eye-catching attraction but also houses the town's tourist information outlet. Outdoor enthusiasts will find some of Ontario's best hiking and cycling trails in Meaford and the surrounding areas, such as the Georgian Trail and the Bruce Trail. Other popular recreational activities include fishing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. Waterfront camping is a unique way to spend some relaxing time in Meaford. Memorial Park is one of the very few places in the province where this can be enjoyed. The campground is known for its long, breathtaking shoreline.
We have a beach area with the usual mix of stone and sand characteristic of Georgian Bay. The quaint town of Meaford with its harbor and weekly activities is a 6 minute drive from here. Grocery stores, post office and restaurants can be found along Meaford's main street. Tuesday night is Cruise night at the harbor, and on Fridays the Meaford market is hosted there. Owen Sound is a 25 minute drive.

Nice place
The house is very beautiful, it has everything necessary to spend a few quiet days, the location offers the peace to disconnect. We liked everything in general, we could rest, walk, go to the Blue Mountains so we could have a few days of enjoyment and relaxation at the same time.

Very Comfortable
Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing, and our little dog loved it, lots of interesting areas to investigate. I wouldn't recommend this guest house for seniors, there is no bathroom on the second floor, and going up and down the stairs during the night was awkward. This property is best suited for young to middle aged family's, The Hosts on the other hand were very welcoming, and went beyond the usual to surprise us with a special greeting and a little gift. The only other setback was; we arrived in wet weather and the gutter above the side door dripped constantly right overhead of the doorway.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay
Deer Path is a lovely well manicured lush property. There are fun trails in their small forest. There are 3 great stone beach areas to enjoy. The accommodations are clean, well organized and have everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Lynn and Jim are both wonderful hosts ( as well as their daughter) who greeted us when we arrived. We would love to return for another visit when we get the chance!
