This downtown apartment is a two bedroom, 1 bath unit that has been totally renovated with stainless appliances, hardwood floors, and slate tile. The open plan between kitchen and living room is great for entertaining. The comfortable living room includes a large flat-panel TV and a charming freestanding gas fireplace. There is a walk-in closet with a washer/dryer, and plenty of closet storage -- including shoe racks.

Our location is ideal in downtown Sandpoint, within walking distance of City Beach, the Marina, all the downtown restaurants, live music, wine bars, and shopping including outdoor gear shops, a bike shop, and lots of gift and antiques shops. In the summer, enjoy Sandpoint's lively farmer's market just down the street with live music, local produce and crafts. Please note that the condo is right downtown, in the heart of everything, which is about as urban as Sandpoint gets! Our guests love the location for its convenience and access, but if you are looking for waterfront or mountain views, this is probably not the place for you!

Did you know Sandpoint has a free local bus? There's a stop only about a block away from our apartment, and you can ride the SPOT bus to the Schweitzer base for a ride to the village, stores in Ponderay, and anywhere else you'd want to go around the Sandpoint area. You can also access bike and walking paths within a block or two of the front door.

And while we offer a great location to walk or bike from, you'll also enjoy off-street parking for your own vehicle giving you freedom to get up to Schweitzer or access more remote hiking areas or day-trip locations.

About Charles Manning

My wife and I lived in this great apartment when we first moved to Sandpoint. it was once a restaurant and we completely refinished it to be a downtown metro-feel apartment that we could enjoy. It's close to great food and bars and it super comfortable. We loved being in the middle of everything downtown in this great small town!

While we lived in the apartment while we re-finished our craftsman house in south Sandpoint. We moved here from Washington DC and before that - San Francisco.

Sandpoint is such a great town, and the benefit of being in the heart of it all is that you can take advantage of so much within walking distance: Rent a paddle board or kayak just across First avenue and explore Sand Creek; go for a run along the scenic Ponderay Bay Trail; visit Evans Brothers on Fifth avenue for award-winning coffee; rent a power boat for the day and explore the lake or go fishing; take a bike ride up onto the surrounding trails or do a grueling road-bike workout by riding up Schweitzer Mountain Road; walk to Italian, Meditteranean, or Thai restaurants, or enjoy the local pubs, breweries and wine bars. It's a lot of fun in Sandpoint, and when you stay in the heart of downtown, you can leave your car parked and take advantage of it all!

Great place to stay in town

Loved the close proximity to town. We were able to return from skiing and walk to dinner. It was about a 30 minute drive to the mountain.

Apartment was nice and very clean. Both beds were comfortable with nice bedding. Good appliances in the kitchen, but I would recommend updating the pots and pans. It would also be nice to have a couple mixing bowls.

We enjoyed the extra touches of shampoo and soap provided in the bathroom. Small TV in the master bedroom. Challenging to see from the bed.

I would definitely return again with my family!

Great condo In a nice area

Condo is very well renovated, great location with easy parking and nice short 20-30 minute drive to Schweitzer. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because when we arrived the condo heater did not appear to work. We waited for the thermostat to attempt to heat the unit and it never did. By 7pm with 20 degree temps outside the unit sat at 55 degrees. Ultimately we found various ways to heat the unit by a small fireplace, a floor heater in the bathroom, and a floor heater in the kitchen along with one space heater that was in the closet. I attempted to contact the property owner and never heard back throughout the course of our 4 day trip. Ultimately it worked out. My buddy and I are pretty easy going so we managed but I could imagine this may have upset some people much more so given the colder temperatures and non communication. Aside from that it’s easily 5 Star. Was a nice place and we enjoyed our trip. I’d inquire about the heat first though if you’re headed there during the winter.

Owner's Response: Zac - I’m so sorry to hear that the thermostat was having problems. I didn’t get any messages of problems - very sorry for the perceived radio silence. We use a nest system and the thermostat is easily controlled through it. I can also remotely change the settings - but didn’t receive any indication of problems. Very sorry for the inconvenience - we are happy to make it right for you when you stay next time.

Awesome location. Great for the 4 of us!

We had a wonderful time in Sandpoint. The location of this could not be better. The kitchen bathroom and laundry are perfect for a family. A few considerations: hire a better cleaner, think about getting a bbq and maybe a couch without so many feathers!
